Tell me about. Already I'm getting an earful from the Austrian press/ op-eds, questioning of course, how and why such a crime can take place, not to mention the sociological tangent about how complicit Austrian culture is to hiding/looking away at such deplorable secrets, i.e. child-welfare authorities supposedly had closely monitored The Fritzls, not knowing of such things. This Josef Fritzl guy seems to have personal issues going as far back as his high school years. No wonder why he's (Fritzl) been coined by The Week magazine as, "The monster next door!" Very fitting for someone who's been testified by former neighbors as scheming tyrant...
