Perhaps you are, or know of a friend or relative who lives with a handicap. This thread is open for prayer, for them. We need to remember, that in an instant...we too could become disabled and have a dependency on others for our well being. God bless you all.
Father, I come to You in Jesus' name, on behalf of all the disabled and handicapped. You know their pain and suffering more than anyone else! Please give them relief from their pain and calm their frustrations. Help them to succeed in whatever task(s) they may be trying today. Give them courage to push forward in life, knowing that others will look upon them differently. Open the hearts and eyes of the 'able' bodied, to see more clearly that compassion is what needs to be displayed toward them; and not pity. Extend YOUR strength to them and send them messages of encouragement, I pray.
As a mother of (now) a quadriplegic, I thankfully praise You for sparing my son's life! Thank-You for the many blessings, joy and lessons, that a handicapped person can bring to our lives! Teach us Oh God, to look beyond the outward appearance of people, so that we may focus more on the heart of man. Help us to realize that we may not understand why...but that we can ALWAYS trust in You! May Your plan be fulfilled in the lives of these dear people! Thy will be done.

AMEN, I am praying as well for all disabled.
There is a man that lives on the property where I work and he is severely disabled. His hands are bent, and his feet are turned completely around so his legs have to be layed straight out on his wheelchair..My heart goes out to him and I will not feel sorry for him because he gets around on his wheelchair and doesn't want anyone helping him get through the door way to the leasing office when he comes in...I pray for him and all disabled people that they know they are loved!! I know God has a plan for him and for all!!

Father, I come to You in Jesus' name and ask that You ease the discomforts of all those who suffer disabilities involving their limbs and joints. Whether they're in wheelchairs or bed-bound, please soothe the pain they endure, everyday.
Father, even though I don't know (or understand), all the disabilities that people suffer from, we do know that there's the blind, deaf, lame and mentally handicapped that can use a special touch from You today. Will you please lift their spirits and give them hope? Grant to them all 'Your favor' and may each of their hearts 'leap' with joy from the Lord!

Father, I come to You in Jesus' name; and ask that you heal the disabled, whose spirit has been broken. We read in Your Holy Word that you heal the broken hearted. We also read and believe that by Your stripes we are healed! I lift all the disabled people up to You, who are depressed and who are feeling hopeless. Please protect, in their lives, what remains to be in their control. From their limited physical control to the control they have over choices to be made. I pray they ALWAYS choose to do what You'd have them to do! Bless them all abundantly today, I pray.

Father, I come to You in Jesus' name; and ask that you help the disabled to be able to concentrate on their blessings today. Help those who are no longer independent, to realize the blessing they have in their caregivers, and to make it known to them. Please bless these wonderful 'servants' of the disabled, with strength and patience to carry out their daily tasks. Help all the disabled to overcome the frustrations of living their life in such a different way. Help them adjust Father. For I've seen in their eyes, the longing to be dependent and the guilt they feel, for having to ask for assistance from others. Lighten their burdens and fill their hearts with gladness today. And we'll always remember to give all the praise and thanks to You, our wonderful and merciful Savior!
