I don't know that I would classify folks as heros - I think at times the word is overused. But there are many people that I respect and look up to in SGM - many have already gone on - Rex, Glen, Wendy, Eldridge, Anthony, Doug, Roger. Others are still here - Mark, Gerald, Tracy & Lib, Karen & Susan. These are folks that I've known a LONG time and who have been there as friends when you need them, I've seen them help others even when it may not have been in their best interest and I've heard them pray for those around them. Some are young and while not heros have earned my respect in so many ways - Dustin, Eric, Nick, Joe, Daniel. I've watched most of these guys grow up and I've seen them in many different situations, each time I've been pleased and impressed with their attitudes and actions. As Judy said, I've sat at many a funerals for folks that I have have known and cared for. They are each greatly missed.

We mean heroes from within the Southern Gospel genre. This could be based on vocal/performance abilities or based on what is known of their personal character.

I'll vote for Kevin Spencer also. He has helped us to promote thegospelstation.com in Oklahoma. He has prayed for me when I was diagnosed with cancer. Kevin, James and Starla did an outstanding concert when I know they were tired after being on the road for 11 days.
