Very good, I think it is a good idea for you to take some time for yourself, so your relationship with the Lord can grow. When you are ready, He will bring someone into your life that will be accepting of your past. Whether or not you realize it, we all have a past, some not so good, mine is not so good.

I too would suggest counseling. For your ex too.
Coming from someone who was on his side of an abortion, and had asked my ex to keep the baby and was told I had no choice in the matter. It is something that can and will build up inside of you and cause bitterness to grow in your life. It can cause great deals of pain which I am sure you are aware of. It can do the same to him(your ex).

Well I would say that you need to tell your parents. You are going to need them to help you through this. I was ashamed to tell my mother also, and didn't tell her til a few years later because I didn't want her to be mad at my ex, since we had mutual friends and all. But she was a great help for me in a time of need. So I would advise getting it out in the open now, the longer you wait, the harder it will be to do.

It will be scary for you to meet someone new, but if you follow Gods guidance to the Godly man you seek, he will accept you and your past. If he is truly a Godly man, nothing you have done should matter.
