Seems to me that if one isn't nervous, then one doesn't even need to mention it.

Kinda along the same lines of a guilty conscience thing, doncha know.

Not nervous in the least nor do I have a guilty conscience...just wanted to make sure that if you were planning any retribution that I wasn't on the list!!!!
Now where would the fun be if I started saying who was on the list and who wasn't?!

Well...I know your favorite target is out of town and apparently out of touch...not communicating as he promised so I didn't want there to be any confusion about me being on that list!!!
LOL! Now Lynn . . . why are you trying to blame someone who wasn't even here to participate?

I think I'm going to go to bed also.
Goodnight y'all.
Sweet dreams.

Lynn, I was reading in this thread this afternoon and GB saw your avatar and said "those are the boys we're gonna hear sing with Abby and Ryan!". I'm not real sure how she knew they were the Booth Brothers. Obviously I've shown her their picture before, but I don't remember it. She's so excited about seeing your kiddos!

I finally caught up with my subbed threads and I'm wiped out. Going to bed now. Talk to you all tomorrow.

That is so cute...tell GB that Abby is looking forward to see her too. Ryan too...since his 10th birthday he suddenly has gotten very "mature" now. It's funny!
Have a good night...I'm getting very QWERTY myself...I took some headache medicine and it's finally taking affect.

Talk to you all tomorrw!

I'm finally caught up on all my reading and everybody is in bed. Hmmm...I gotta do better than this. Maybe if I didn't listen to music while I read it wouldn't take as long?

Wouldn't that be a sin not to listen to SG while reading the SG thread?

Good morning all. Have a Blessed day.

Chapstick

We had this great 10-year-old cat named Jack who just
recently died.

Jack was a great cat, and the kids would carry him around
and sit on him and nothing ever bothered him. He used to
hang out and nap all day long on the mat in our bathroom.

We have three kids, and at the time of this story, they were
4 years old, 3 years old, and 1 year old. The middle one is
Eli. Eli really loved Chapstick. LOVED it. He kept asking to
use my Chapstick and then would lose it. Finally one day I
showed him where in the bathroom I keep my Chapstick and
explained he could use it whenever he wanted to, but he
needed to put it right back in the drawer after he finished.

That year on Mother's Day, we were having the typical rush
around and try to get ready for church with everyone crying
and carrying on. My two boys were fighting over the toy in
the cereal box. I was trying to nurse my little one at the
same time I was putting on my make-up. Everything was a
mess, and everyone had long forgotten that this was a
wonderful day to honor me and the amazing job that is
motherhood.

We finally had the older one and the baby loaded in the car
and I was looking for Eli. I searched everywhere and I
finally went into the bathroom. There was Eli. He was
applying my Chapstick very carefully to Jack's ... rear end.
Eli looked right into my eyes and said, "Chapped." Now if
you have a cat, you know that he is right -- their little
bottoms do look pretty chapped. And, frankly, Jack didn't
seem to mind. The only question to ask at that point was
whether it was the FIRST time Eli had done that to the cat's
behind or the hundredth!?!

And THAT is my favorite Mother's Day moment ever because it
reminds us that no matter how hard we try to civilize these
glorious little creatures, there will always be that day
when you realize they've been using your Chapstick on the
cat's butt.

That is hilarious Santa...similiar story...we had 2 jack russell terriers when we lived in VA...they were littermates and were about 8 months old...my daughter was around 2...one day I walked into the kitchen to find her applying my Carmex on one of the dogs mouths...when asked why she was doing that she said..."his lips were chapped"!!!

I couldn't believe that hyper little dog would sit still and let her do it. That was the same day we found her giving both a bath in bbq sauce! She said their skin was dry!!!

Good Morning Everyone...how are ya doing????

I see the Dude and mini Dude avatar is back...I love that one.

Good Morning Sharon-Marie...

We're all doing fine...daughter is a little emotional today. I didn't wake her up to walk her brother to the bus stop and then I made the mistake of setting her oatmeal and juice on her floormat instead of letting her do it!!!! Geeze...I can see this is going to be a LLLOOONNNGGG day unless she stops this crying and whining stuff.

Climbing Mount Everest.

Lynn, is your day smoothing out from earlier?

Yep...Mom's saga is ongoing but things are starting to come together there. She sounded better today. Abby finally straightened her emotions out...I'm beginning to think PMS starts at 4! Having a very quiet afternoon so far.

May I ask about that avatar?????

I'm glad your getting some quiet.

The avatar is sending a message to a weird person to leave me alone.

Honestly . . . do any of y'all experience strange people pursuing y'all in the threads?
(strange both as in weird and also as in not having yet "met" them in the threads)

I can't be the only one that this happens to; I know that.
How do y'all deal with it?

A poster has PMed me 4 times today . . . and I've noticed that all of a sudden, he was showing up in a lot of my subbed threads; a couple of them he posted in; others he didn't . . . but until today I had never seen him post or lurk in any of those threads . . . until a couple of days ago I had never even heard of him. I don't know who he is (nor do I want to).

(And no, I haven't answered any of his PMs; I just delete them).
They weren't even TOS violations . . . they were just weird, icky and yellow flags.

I changed my avatar to discourage him . . . and he even made mention of it in one of the threads!
My next avenue was to block him, but he's left me alone since I changed my picture.

<----
So far now . . . this is what I look like.

Until tomorrow . . . when I'll dress up like Sam.

LOL - I just realized - won't that poster be shocked tomorrow when he finds out he's been pursuing a man . . . and not just any man, but a man with a gun AND a bullet at that!
