Sorry, Santa, I thought for sure she'd listen to you. I didn't mean to get you in the mix. I guess I better go find her.

That would be nice if Mrs. C. could go. Trips don't seem so long if you have company.

Smokymtnsanta -> RE: Geezers and Gonnabees Remembering Our Moms and Heroes (5/15/2008 6:38:59 PM)

And she may have to do some of the driving.

SGEnthusiast -> RE: Geezers and Gonnabees Remembering Our Moms and Heroes (5/15/2008 6:41:09 PM)

Oh yeah. Will you be up late tonight? Do you have a CD player that you could play music on the trip, or doesn't that help?

I was thinking the salad was just the appetizer.

Bethany, what do y'all have to eat for the birthday week girl?

Hi Santa! So good to see you.
Please tell Sony that we're having spaghetti. I was procrastinating making anything because I was trying to find a way to get to Lynn's. Her dinner sounds wonderful...country-fried steak and sweet tea...Mmm-MMM!!!! [;)]

SGEnthusiast -> RE: Geezers and Gonnabees Remembering Our Moms and Heroes (5/15/2008 6:44:18 PM)

We could always make our own version of sweet tea. Does anyone have a recipe they could send us? [:D]

Do not plan on staying up late tonight. Need to be on road no later than 7 am. Just a there and back trip. And we do play CD's along the way.

Sony, you will have Spaghetti (hope it is angel hair type). But not sure about the tea. Hope it is ready for you soon.

7:00's early for a trip. What are you doing in GA?

SGEnthusiast -> RE: Geezers and Gonnabees Remembering Our Moms and Heroes (5/15/2008 6:49:23 PM)

Thank you, Santa, your intervention must have got the ball rolling (or the water boiling as the case may be). Pasta is generally our fall back when we're not feeling creative or ambitious.

LittleInspiration -> RE: Geezers and Gonnabees Remembering Our Moms and Heroes (5/15/2008 6:52:16 PM)

Sony, I love your siggy! It has such meaning...
"I always try to go the extra mile at work, but my boss always finds me and brings me back. TOMORROW is the day!!!"
Is that the day that he'll bring you back? Or the day you'll try again?

Smokymtnsanta -> RE: Geezers and Gonnabees Remembering Our Moms and Heroes (5/15/2008 6:58:46 PM)

Sister is getting a little sassy the day before the big day, isn't she?

We did preschool photos and going to collect money for them. And today was their last day of school. Teachers and directors will still be there tomorrow.

Smokymtnsanta -> RE: Geezers and Gonnabees Remembering Our Moms and Heroes (5/15/2008 7:07:49 PM)

Gonna head home. Been a long day. And longer day tomorrow. Will not be up too late tonight. See y'all.

Be Blessed.

SGEnthusiast -> RE: Geezers and Gonnabees Remembering Our Moms and Heroes (5/15/2008 7:08:46 PM)

As I've learned this week, it's not always necessary to say what my plans are. In the words of a certain sister of mine, "Don't assume you know what I'm up to."

Santa, I hope you were calling her sassy.

Goodbye, Santa. I hope you have a wonderful day tomorrow! I know I will. [:D]

armydude -> RE: Geezers and Gonnabees Remembering Our Moms and Heroes (5/15/2008 7:26:45 PM)

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaappy birthday week Sony!

I know I said it, but I had to say it again...

SGEnthusiast -> RE: Geezers and Gonnabees Remembering Our Moms and Heroes (5/15/2008 7:31:22 PM)

Thank you, James. I'm having a wonderful week. Did you know you were the first phone call I received to start this whole thing? Speaking of which, I forgot I haven't given my synopsis of the day although I said a few things in the birthday thread. My next post in this thread will do just that.

SGEnthusiast -> RE: Geezers and Gonnabees Remembering Our Moms and Heroes (5/15/2008 7:44:10 PM)

Day 4 Update:

I got phone calls today from Lynn, Bobby, Donna, and Paul Jackson. Lynn and Donna were two people that I'd realized I hadn't heard from and was hoping I would. Bobby and Paul were both surprises but very welcome. I actually had wished Bobby would call but thought he wasn't going to since he'd PM'd me earlier in the week. Paul Jackson, I had thought of but am surprised he had time to call. You all have probably read Donna's poem in the birthday thread and, if you haven't, you really should. It was very sweet. (I would say that even if it wasn't about me! [I think. [8|]])

Paul sang Happy Birthday to me and remembered all the words so that was nice. Lynn sang the first line and apparently couldn't remember the rest of the words [:D] but it was nice hearing that much. Nobody made me guess who they were today, for which I am very grateful. I don't think I said anything too stupid either or, if I did, they were too gracious to tell me.

I've had a lovely week and I want to thank you all again for being a part of that. It's been nice celebrating with you and explaining to my family who each person is who has called. I hope you feel as blessed as you have made me feel.

You mean that other people have made you guess who they were? That doesn't sound very fair to me.

[:D]

I echo this. Safe travels, Santa.

Oh yes. Some people seem to get a kick out of me going, "Hmm. I'm not sure. I can't think." (By that last statement, I figure out that I'm not telling them something they don't already know.) [:D]

armydude -> RE: Geezers and Gonnabees Remembering Our Moms and Heroes (5/15/2008 8:20:26 PM)

Right about now I wish I could find my phone...

SGEnthusiast -> RE: Geezers and Gonnabees Remembering Our Moms and Heroes (5/15/2008 8:22:06 PM)

You lost your phone? You're getting as forgetful as me.

Santa, Jasper or Cumming?

We've got to go to Hiawassee in the morning. Our daughters trailer needs some work done on it and we're gonna meet the repairman at 9:00 up there.

You and Mrs. C be careful driving tomorrow. Rain is supposed to clear out tonight. It hasn't rained hard today, just slow and steady. The type the grown asorbs.

I just had the sweetest phone conversation with the birthday girl.
{{{SONY}}} Sorry I had to run and take that other call!

Thank you, Lynn, it was wonderful to hear from you!

I noticed earlier where Daniel called me old (or at least said I would be if I got married). I guess there are advantages to being single. [:D]

Just tell Daniel that since he keeps hanging out with us in Geezerland that he better stop calling you old.[8D]

Actually, I think of it as quite a compliment of people think of me or tell me that I'm older than I actually am.[:)]
