I woke up last night 4 times. I just couldn't sleep. It didn't help that Loverly was stretched out on the bed and sound asleep.

Sharon-Marie with that internal alarm clock you don't need a real one do you??? I'm usually awake before the alarm goes off too.

ORIGINAL: Smokymtnsanta For shame, for shame! LOL!!! I still got ready in time. But I sure wasn't used to such an abrupt wakening. It's one of the very reasons why I haven't used an alarm clock in 20 years; I can't think of a more awful way to start my day than to have an alarm clock going off. quote:

Actually, Lynn, I don't know if I have an internal alarm clock. I sleep until I wake up (which, if I'm on my "regular" schedule, is usually somewhere between 6-8am . . . it used to be earlier and tighter than that; between 5-6am). If I must wake up at a certain time, I ask Our Lord to wake me up at whatever specific time is needed. Last night I forgot. But He is so Good! He already knew and woke me up anyway. I have to agree with you on all of that...I don't like being abrubtly woken up and nothing gets me going on the wrong side of the day than an alarm clock...mine has a beep that increases in volume until you turn it off. I usually get it before it gets loud.

Okay...I need to vent...I just got a haircut the other day and I hate it...Haven't gotten a good haircut since I left VA. I usually schedule an appointment with my hair guy when I go home but the last couple of trips we made didn't work out for either of us. SOOOOO...I've been trying to find someone around here and so far no luck! Okay...I'm through... back to palavering....

I'll have to agree with you both. I absolutely HATE the sound of an alarm clock.

I usually get it before it gets loud. As I mentioned, I haven't used an alarm clock in 20 years . . . probably even more than that. And if y'all want to know a neat God-story, read the rest of this post. (If you don't want to know, then skip the rest of this post). It was during that time that I was learning that God cares about every single aspect of us; it was around this time that I was really learning about a PERSONAL relationship with Our Lord. I don't know how I thought it back then, but I decided to ask Our Lord to wake me up the next morning. I've long since forgotten the exact time but it was a very early time and a very weird time; something along the lines of 3:48. Back then I had one of those clocks where the numbers flipped over to the next time. I went to bed and slept all night . . . and the next morning, just as I opened my eyes (from a very gentle wakening), the time flipped over to the exact time that I had asked Our Lord to wake me up! As a little girl, I used to hide in closets (long story) and sing "Jesus Loves Me" . . . but that morning that Our Lord woke me up like that forever solidified to me how important it is to have faith in Our Lord for absolutely everything, AND how very much He does love me and wants a truly personal relationship with me. From that day on, I've never relied on alarm clock to get me up . . . AND I've never needed to neither. Which is such a blessing . . . I so completely abhor and detest alarm clocks. edited: VERY goofy typo.
