Check it out! 18 kids! WOW although I have seen the shows about her and she said that it was much more work when she had 5 then then all the kids she has now.

I like them but come on, it is getting ridiculious, she is never not pregnant. I know it is their business, but she is not a brood mare. Her body does not even have a chance to recover before she is impregnated agian. They are a sweet, and wonderful family though. I think about the teenage kids, mine would be humilated knowing I was getting pregnant all of the time.

I have heard that she weans at 6 months so she can get pregnant again. I wonder if there is such a thing as being addicted to having babies? I would think it would be a ton of work but she said it was not hard since the older ones take care of the younger ones.

I think some people could be addicted to being pregnant, because it is a youthful thing. Caroline on Little House On the Prairie did this one time. I just could not be pregnant that much, though she recovers from it fiqure wise very well. I wonder about healthwise?

Well...both of my kids were born on February 9th two years and an hour apart so...

May 9th is a day of prayer for me.

. My husband is the oldest of three boys, each five years apart, almost to the day. Makes me have wierd thoughts about inlaws ( kind of don't think about thoughts) I think two years apart is ok, and neat the same birthday. but every nine months has to be hard on the body.

Hey at least she is not going through what I went through. I was so depressed that I was not pregnant anymore when Jessica was born. I guess she just looks forward to the next one instead.

Some basic biology lessons would be helpful here. First and foremost...pregnancy is not nine months long.

Well Jenny we are all different, my kids would be grossed out. I was kidding about show,( thought you would pick that up) and you are to uptight. I am telling my thoughts not yours so, is ok to have my own thoughts? Let me know.

I do wonder why you think it is more wholesome/good/healthy/whatever to artificially interrupt the sexual process, though. While I would never cease breastfeeding in order to get pregnant again, I think it is completely natural to, you know, actually get pregnant when you have sex. I am amazed that it disgusts people, since that is how God made our bodies.

I do not know Jenny ask my girls when I kiss my husband they shriek in horror. They are wierd, I guess, What can I say. I do not want to get pregnant ever again, but to each their own. I would have more kids than Mrs. Dugger, if that was the case, meaning very fertile person. OK TMI.[:o] I am impressed by the Duggers and the family they have, they are Godly people, I just do not want that life, except the Godly part.[;)]

When my sister got pregnant with my youngest niece her two kids were grossed out. My nephew was 18 and my niece was 16. It was big shock but they all got over in time. [:D]

I wonder when the older ones will start moving out? The oldest one is 20 and I have not heard anything about him going to college or having a paying job.

You know, I would really love to see a reference for that. If it's true, it goes against the QF philosophy, but, all I have ever seen is "Well, I *heard* she weans at 6 months. What a selfish woman!!" Until I see something she actually said or wrote verifying that, it's just gossip, IMO.

I agree with Maggie. I remember last time this discussion came up, someone posted that they "had heard" that and no one could come up with a source for that rumor. I even googled it and couldn't find it anywhere, except in some comments where a few people "had heard" the same thing. Until someone can show me where they actually said they do that, I seriously doubt it's true.

I understand the point of the gossip train, but is breastfeeding a mild form of birth contol? Maybe that is where people came up with it. Really who cares though, if she brestfeeds one month or six years. My FIL, breast fed for six years, as family rumor has it.[8|] .
