threepartharmony -> Group Personnel Changes (5/10/2008 11:32:31 PM)

Our local group went through a personnel change nine months ago. The group has been together for almost 7 years now, and it was our first personnel change ever.

My question is to those who have gone through personnel changes.

How do you handle the detractors in your own mind and heart? They are not verbal in their disagreement of the change, but their actions and attitudes speak a lot louder than any word they could ever utter.

What makes this more of a problem is that all 3 original members attend the same church, whereas the new member does not.

Why is it that the people closest to you are the ones who don't understand, and make it known verbally, or non-verbally, that they just don't accept or agree with your decision to follow where God is leading?

Nevermind that people are being saved and God is showing up in a more powerful way than ever before with us.

It's really frustrating.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Well..... if souls are being saved and God is obviously please then there should be no problem. And those that have a problem with the change should perhaps reevaluate their own hearts and lives. Change can be hard for some to accept but if God is moving then He is indeed pleased and it doesn't get any better than that,[:D]
