Singing News is reporting that Dottie Rambo passed away in a tour bus accident this morning.

Her manager, Larry Ferguson, is unconscious and has two broken legs. We need to pray for his recovery; this also serves as a reminder to pray for all those who travel the miles to spread the Gospel.

This was reported earlier twice and it was removed from the forums. Gues someone didn't liking it posted until they had time to post it in the SN News.

I was told Larry was in critical condition, as was her product table guy, Chris. Please remember all of these as well. Dottie was supposed to do a "Golden Girls" singing in Texas this morning with LuLu Roman & Naomi Sego, these ladies are singing, but their idol and mentor is missing, please remember them as well. The SGM world has lost another Saint. Dottie was my friend, and I've been really upset since getting this news early this morning. Thank you all for praying for the above and Dottie's family.

Yes Robert, I had posted it, but was told the family wanted to do it first. Also the driver was killed in this accident.

God bless the families of those who are hurting today. May they find comfort in His arms at this time. I can only imagine the hurt of losing your mother on Mothers Day. Losing your mother at any time is hard but on this day when we honor mothers...... Dottie Rambo was a true talent and will be missed.

Shocking news. First thing I saw when logged on this afternoon was the SN email. And just this morning I had posted about Gerald Wolfe singing one of her songs last night that he usually does not sing because Mrs. Mull asked him to do it. So sad. She had been thru so many illnesses over the years to have died in an accident such as this. So sorry and our sympathies to the family and praying for Larry Fergusons recovery and for the families of the others involved.
God Bless.
A TRUE SAINT IS NOW HOME WITH JESUS AND THE OTHER GREAT SINGERS THAT HAVE GONE BEFORE.

I just found out that Larry's wife, Juyd, & their 2 boys were also on the bus. No news on them at this moment. I will call Beckie and see if she knows any more news.

I got a text message at 10:30 this morning with the news. I was shocked. I was at church and able to ask that our church family pray for them at that time.

Has it been said when the accident happened? I can't get SN update because my subscription has not been updated as yet. They apparently were traveling thru Mo. on the way to Texas.

Taken from SN site

At 2:19 a.m.,Missouri State Troopers responded to the accident that took place on I-44, two miles east of Mt. Vernon, Missouri. According to the Troopers' report, the 1997 Prevost Dottie was traveling aboard ran off the roadway, struck the guard rail and an embankment. Dottie was pronounced dead at the scene by Lawrence County (Mo.) Coroner Don Lakin at 4:20 a.m

Not sure, but I heard that it was between 4:00 and 5:00 am.
BTW, what time did Singing News post the news story?

Praying for all of the families that were in the accident. It is a very sad day for us left here on earth, but a great day for those that met their Master today.

Thanks, White Rose. I checked earlier this morning to see if this news had been posted anywhere at all, and at that time, there was nothing turning up from any search engine. Then I left the house a little after 11:00, and just now online again . I cannot access the SN story.

OK, I see the accident happened after 2:00. It makes sense that the word earlier was "between 4:00 and 5:00" since family wouldn't have been notified until after it was official.

Ms. Judy thank you for letting us all know the details. I truly am heartsick to hear this news and sorry you lost a dear friend. I will be praying for the families and friends involved. Ever since hearing the news, I have continued to flash back to earlier years when I saw The Rambos live. I keep remembering how she sang "Momma's teaching angels how to sing". I'm glad this world is not our final home, amen!

Just spoke with the Higway Patrol, and the driver was not killed. Neal. {highway guy} said Dottie was the only one dead at this time. That tells me Larry & Chris are in really bad condition. JUST PRAY. Have been trying to call Judy {Larry's wife}, but she isn't answering her cell, if she even has it. No one was in the ICU waiting area when I called. Will update when I know more.

Heavenly Father we come to you with heavy hearts. Our hearts are heavy because we have seen the passing of a dear friend and wonderful lady. We can only imagine the pain the family is feeling now, and we ask that You comfort them. As precious as she was to us, she is more precious to You. We have loved her for a few years, while You have loved her (and us) for eternity. We ask that Your presence comforts the family in these next few days more than ever. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
