I am trying to find a song from a Christmas program I participated in a long, long time ago (at least 15 years), when I was in youth choir at my church. I remember very little about the actual program, except that it was something the youth choir director purchased, so it wasn't created at our church.

I can remember a few lines of the song itself:

A place to belong
That's what I long for
Where somebody waits just for me

It's the prayer of my heart
At the heart of my song
I long for a place to belong

This has been driving me nuts for years now! I think about this song all the time and would love to find it. I've tried internet searches with the lyrics and have had no luck.

I'm hoping there is someone out there that might be able to help me.

I know this is a long shot, but was it possibly from a youth holiday musical called "I Was A Teenage Christmas Tree"? It's been about that many years since I heard that particular musical (if not more), and for some reason, I want to say those words were from a song in that musical. Like I said - it's a long shot.

Yeah - keep me posted. I hope that's it. I think I have a cassette of that musical somewhere, but I have no way to get to it right now. If I should stumble across it, I'll post on this thread. Good luck with your hunt.
