Everyone....

I continue to check back here for your responses as they are so encouraging to me.

Thank you all so much for all your prayers. Please, continue to help us pray.

God has been strengthening my husband and I, but some days are better than others.

Laila is doing OK....but the Dr.'s have said they are concerned because she is so young.

In our walk, we haven't been the most faithful...but we have vowed our lives to the Lord if He heals our child...is that wrong??

Again, thank you all for your continued love and support.

Athesia (avb)

Dear one...

God said in 2 Chronicles 7:14;

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

Laila is your 'land.' God tells you that it's OK... He says if you call upon Him in humility, confess and seek forgiveness... and commit yourselves to Him... then He will answer... He will hear you and heal.

Psalm 37:5-6 says, "Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, And your justice as the noonday."

Claim the promises of God... He bids you come. He tells us to come to Him and seek forgiveness and that is what You have done. He will honor you and your husband.

I am praying for your little one... I am glad I have her name now.
God bless you...
Pastor Debi

God,
Your word tells us that when we can find no words to cry out for us, Your spirit interceeds. You know the needs of this family. And You love them. Please heal this child, give stamina and rest to this mother, give comfort to this father while he is at work, give love and met needs to this baby brother. Hold them up tonight.
In Jesus' name,
Amen

I was also reminded that...

Hannah in 1 Samuel 1:11 made a vow to God when she said, "Oh Lord of Hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your maidservant, and remember me..." She wanted a son... and in her vow she told God that if He would do this for her, "... I will give him to the Lord all the days of his life..."

People made vows to God throughout the Bible.

I'm still praying and so is my husband...

Hello all:

Well, there have been quite a few developments since my last post. Please know that I read your posts everyday. I cannot thank you all enough. A special thank you to Pastor Debi and her husband. You have really ministered to me.

After 22 days here, the Dr.'s are discharging Laila this afternoon. All we know is that the Lord is healing Laila, and as my husband says, for all to see the power of God at work.

Her urine output has been huge, and she's not even getting the transfusions that she'd been receiving since we've been here. Those treatments, that consisted of 3 different med's, were forcing the excess water off of her. She's stopped getting those IV meds, and has only been getting oral meds, and again, she's been dong fine with just that.

The Lord has drawn us so much closer to Him throughout all of this. We've encountered so many Christians here on the Pediatric floor. One of our young nurses, Koral, really took a liking to Laila and our family. I feel like the Lord could even be getting her attention through our situation. When she found out we were going home, she said, "Praise the Lord!" I hadn't heard her make such a reference since we've been here. Mention her name when you pray, also.

As for our vow...last night, I had a dream that someone was putting a ring, almost identical to my wedding band, on my other hand. I'd like to believe that this dream symbolizes the beginning of my faith commitment to the Lord. Actually, my husband and I are at the place where we have turned from our lukewarm-ness, to a life of following Him. We realize that there is no other way to live.

Whether you know or not, you all have become my friends throughout this. Lord, please bless my friends that have lifted us up in prayer. Thank you for each one. Amen.

"I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will heal you" 2 Kings 20:5

Lord, may your guardian angels encamp all around this precious little child. Father God, restore health back to her body and allow it to function the way You designed it to work. Give her parents strength and peace as they wait upon You to do great things in the midst of this trial. I pray for a hedge of protection upon this family. In Jesus mighty name amen

PRAISE YOU GOD!!!!! Praise You, Oh Lord!!!

I am sitting here crying before the Lord for His hand of blessing upon Laila and you and your husband. My husband is pacing the room praising the name of the Lord for God's faithfulness to answer. We are rejoicing with you here in our room in Shady Cove, Oregon!!! The love of our Lord has united our hearts!!

Your dream... dear one... has significant meaning. And it is no mistake that our God has given you a dream. (He promised that in these last days we would have dreams and visions). I believe that our Lord visited you in your dream and placed that symbolic ring on your hand. The ring (a wedding ring) is a symbol of "covenant." You made a covenant with God, and He with you. "... Then they shall be my people and I will be their God." (Ezk 37:23) I could go on forever about covenant.... but one important thing about Covenant is, is that it is a binding commitment that cannot be broken. And in a covenant the people would exchange garments and names, even weapons signifying that they belong one-to-another. Jesus takes our garments... our filthy rags, our sin, everything that we have... and He gives us in exchange, His robes of righteousness, His royalty, His weapons (against the enemy), His everything. We look at Him and say, "But Lord, I have nothing to exchange in comparrison to You." and He wants to trade anyway! WOW!!!

Father.... we praise You! And we give you so much thanks for the wonderful progress of Laila! And we thank You now for her continued healing. You, Oh Lord are Yahweh Rophe, our restorer... our healer. Thank you for Laila's healing and thank you for her parent's spiritual fire that has been ignited through this trial. Thank you for their testimony and miracles to come due to their new found hope in You! Thank you for the covenant that You have made with them Lord. That You have placed them upon Your arm as a band and across Your heart as a seal.
We give You all glory and honor and power Lord. Continue to bless this family that all may see the glory of the Lord. In Jesus name!
Amen!

God bless you all... give Laila a kiss for us!
Pastor Debi ( and Pastor Dave) xxoo

PS... my avatar picture is our 2 year old granddaughter... Shelby. So when I look at her I think of Laila.

I have been off for a couple days...
However, I have continued to pray for Laila and to praise God for His healing hand upon her!

Lord God... we continue to lift Laila to You... asking that You continue to "carry on to completion the work which You have begun" in Laila and her family. Thank You for Your promises to us, as they are true and faithful. Thank You for restoring Laila's health and healing her body! Praise You Lord!
Amen.

God Bless you...
Pastor Debi

Father, Abba... Yahweh Rophe, The Lord Who Heals....
We lift this baby up to You oh God, and the cries of her parents and family. Lord Your name declares healing... Rophe means to "heal," "cure," "restore" or "make whole"... and Lord, we claim this now in the name of Jesus. Father we plead the holy and precious blood of Jesus over this dear child... Father cleanse her kidneys and her body with Your blood Lord, for we know that You have already borne this childs infirmities, and by Your stripes she is healed in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Father give avb9920 the strength to deal with pain for her childs pain.
Amen
