I hate when philosophy and science mix when tackling seemingly intractable problems.

How are science and philosophy "colliding" here any more than in any other exposition of panpsychism? Aside from that, it's a rather hyperbolic description of the philosophy itself. Either panpsychism or emergentism follow from neutral monism, which is a widely accepted theory. What are your objections to it?
