What are your thoughts on this movie? Personally I kept an open mind during the whole thing, but nothing added up at all. Yeah, the man painted a picture of the Last Supper, but was he there? No. Where should we get our idea of the Last Supper from? The Bible obviously. So what do you all think?

Just a bad movie.
I don't say that because of the subject matter, I say that because it just wasn't very good.
I'm not afraid of ideas, our God is much bigger than that.

Yeah, just a really cruddy film all around. Thematically dull, artistically sloppy.

And for what it's worth, my best friend is a Messianic Jew, and says DaVinci had the Last Supper completely wrong. My friend sketched out what a Passover seder looked like in a typical Jewish home or inn of the time; the artist wasn't even close. In my friend's words, in DaVinci's painting it's almost like Jesus had said, "All right, everybody who wants in on the picture, come over to this side of the table!" [:D]

I haven't sat through the whole movie...just caught bits and pieces on cable. Wasn't that one of the points of the movie?...that there was something odd about the way DaVinci painted the Last Supper? Wasn't it supposed to be a clue to...whatever the mystery was?

I know the church got all up in arms about this flick even before it came out, but I don't think there was anyone who ever would have taken it seriously. I doubt anyone who walked out of the theaters thought that Jesus was a daddy. Eh, I could be wrong since I know the Truth. [:)]

It's just amazing how some people can interpret a film. All of those claims were made from a picture that a man created, and not on anything Biblical.

If you read the book you see more of the ideals of the "codes" DaVinci had. The book was much better. The movie was laughable at best.

The book is much better than the movie. But it usually always is.
