What is tragic about a man who has supported the mass murder of over 40,000,000 million unborn children having brain cancer? Never mind he's a well known drunkard, womanizer and walked away from killing Mary Jo Kopechne with less than a slap on the wrist...

Why would anyone pray for such a man to get well so he can continue to do evil. People are pleased when terrorist are taken out because they are evil yet they haven't done half the evil Mr. Kennedy is responsible for... We have men and women all over the world blowing people up for the death of 3,000 on 9/11 and some are sadden by someone who in reality is worse than Bin Laden having a malignant brain tumor? Why? More unborn children are murdered each day than died on 9/11 and Mr. Kennedy is responsible for them as much as Bin Laden is for 9/11...

Is anyone praying that Bin Laden get well?

I don't pray for Kennedy to get well. Not at all. When he was thinking of running for the presidency, I did my own very in-his-face, long-running campaign against him. I don't like him. He got by with murders on this earth, but he won't in the next.

But I do pray for him, because he is a human being, made in G-d's own image. I told my husband tonight that I prayed for him, and he was initially shocked, because he knows how I feel about him. He is facing eternity without G-d. I also wondered how MaryJo's family is feeling right now. He may have forgotten her, but many of us have not.

I pray for G-d's rightful justice for Kennedy, and if he repents, I know that the justice administered will be done through the sacrifice and resurrection of Messiah.

I understand and respect your reasoning for praying for him I am just perplexed that anyone could speak well of the man and hope that he gets better given that when he's better he is doing evil on a grand scale... If Bin Laden's dead body was shown on TV tomorrow people would think justice served and rightly so, yet it's a sad day when someone far worse looks like they are going to die... I don't get it...

Loving the enemy doesn't equate to hoping they get well to continue their evil ways... I wouldn't be openly rude to Mr. Kennedy, I would address him as Mr. and or Senator, beyond that he is due nothing in regards to rendering honor to those who are due honor given his evil actions that he hasn’t repented of and uses to keep his seat of power. His seat in the Senate is paid for in part by the blood of murdered unborn children. What honor beyond common courtesy should anyone bestow such a person? You think those on the other side of the Red Sea lamented over Pharaoh and his Captains being pummeled by the Red Sea?

Man, you took the words right out of my mouth (although I'll be surprised if the mods don't shut this one down).

Ted Kennedy is a vile, disgusting human being whose actions have helped pave the way for nearly 40 years of wholesale mass murder of unborn children, and Mary Jo Kopechne would be enjoying her sunset years today if not for the utterly reprehensible actions of this "legendary" Senator.

I do pray for his family as they cope with his illness, and I do pray that Senator Kennedy turns from his wicked ways and accepts the forgiving power of salvation before it is too late....beyond that, I would venture that justice is finally being meted out.....

As well I do... Though for the life of me I cannot fathom how people can speak highly of the man...If the news said Bin Laden was dead today people would say he got what was coming to him and rightly so, yet Mr. Kennedy is no better and a case could be made with ease he's actually worse yet people are acting their favorite uncle is passing away...

I confess that when I heard of it, at first I did a little rejoicing. But then I realized that if/when he dies, he'll probably spend an eternity in hell.

I don't want to wish that on my own worst enemy.

Wow, I guess compassion really is dead....

IMO, anyone who expresses satisfaction at the news of Ted Kennedy now facing death due to his brain tumor makes me sick.

"Christians" such as these are the sole reason I stopped going to my last church, and will never return.

Further, to blame Kennedy for a Supreme Court decision (via Roe) is absurd. Last time I checked, he was never on the bench, nor did he oversee Roe when it came to the high court.

Well I read twenty three minutes in Hell, and wish none to perish in hell. I prayed Sat. when I heard of his seizure. I thought it had to be a tumor at his age, if it were not a stroke. Is he IMHO a good man, no way. I hate to see the false humility ( from my view) from other political leaders, who he just stabbed in the back. I do feel sad for him and his family, though I do not like him. I feel sorry for everyone usually, compassion does not meanI cannot see he is a bad man. I think God's grace is big enough to heal him and save him, an change his heart. I was reading where Jesus was mad at the pharisees, when Jesus cast out a demon, or was it the man with a withered hand, sorry it is one of them, He was mad, but the word said he also felt sorry for them, because their herats were so stubborn. So having mixed emotions, can be ok.

Perhaps you would show more verbal respect toward him than I would, calling him "Mr.," Sovereign. I pray for his soul. He is an old man who has lived long with his sin.

As far as Israel rejoicing over the pharaoh, that would not be something for us to do today, and if it was done then, it was only done in the moment of battle, when they realized the complete salvation from the enemy, given by the L-rd. We are taught not to rejoice over the death of the wicked. Even in these times, during the Passover seder, as we tell the story of the plagues, in memory of those who died, we remove one drop of wine from every cup for each of the plagues.

Kennedy was not a good Catholic, because while only a few of the protestants fought the issue of the aborted children in the early years, the R. Catholic church was really the one leading the fight. Many of the protestant pastors would actually tell us, "It's a Catholic issue." Among them was the pastor I had then, who demanded that I stop working as a volunteer for Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life. He was wrong. The other pastors were wrong. And Teddy was wrong.

But he got his way, and many "good church people" have, by 2008, fallen step with Kennedy.

Yes, let us remember Mary Jo, when did this happen. I heard of it, but do not know if I was born yet. I may have been, that story has always stuck with me, though I do not know all of it. I think I will look it up.

What ever happened to "Do unto others what you would have them do unto you"?

I don't think I would want people to do unto me by praying that they hope I die and spend eternity in hell for my crimes on earth. I would hope that they would pray that God would have mercy on me for MY sins that I have done while I walked the earth.

"Let he who hath no sin cast the first stone"! "For I have not come into the world to condemn it but to save it!" Now that's the Good News!

Where did anyone here say they hope he goes to hell?

What you may not remember, or what you may not have been around for yet, is that abortion is something Kennedy fought for in the senate and around the public. This is a well-known fact, and this is part of why some people love him. Furthermore, he spoke long, strong, and animatedly before the senate and the public in support of partial birth abortion, in which a child, even up to full-term, is allowed to be partially born, alive, then they kill the child before it completely exits the female.

Read what happened to Mary Jo Kopechne. Read his excuses. Read what he told about the "accident." Read how she died. Read how long she probably lived in that car before she died. Read what he did overnight, while she was in that car.

Read how he was prosecuted. Read how he spent time in jail. NOT!

Read how he just went on working as a politician, even considering the presidency of the U.S.A.

So then it's OK to call him evil or a vile, disgusting human being. Isn't that a judgement? Are we allowed to judge other people's state of their soul? How do we know what God thinks of Mr. Kennedy? Have we become omnicient like God?

One thing I do hope is that God IS merciful towards him. Because that is what I would wish to be "done unto me".

The Pharisee with head unbowed prayed in this fashion: "I give you thanks, O God, that I am not like the rest of men - grasping, crooked , adulterous - or even like this tax collector." Luke 18:11 whose name might have been Ted Kennedy?

Perhaps you did not read post #13, where LightShineOn told how she feels about Kennedy's health and possible short future here. No? Because if you had, you would have known her intentions.

I don't have much left after giving it to his victims... Much in the same manner when I visited the death camps in Europe in that I didn't have some sudden urge of compassion for those who murder those people...

Mr. Kennedy is a champion for the right to murder children and to believe he's not partly responsible for abortion in the country is absurd. The murder of the unborn doesn't start and stop with the Supreme Court decision and those who champion the cause to remain in power are guilty and have the murder of those unborn on their shoulders...

I doubt Mr. Kennedy would like to be left for dead or be murdered in the womb...

I have no problem praying for his soul, as well I have no problem praying (as King David did) that God would deal with those who do evil...

Of course He did, since all of mankind is born already condemned...
