Woman with objects fetish marries Eiffel Tower

quote:

Erika La Tour Eiffel, 37, a former soldier who lives in San Francisco, has been in love with objects before. Her first infatuation was with Lance, a bow that helped her to become a world-class archer, she is fond of the Berlin Wall and she claims to have a physical relationship with a piece of fence she keeps in her bedroom.

But it is the Eiffel Tower she has pledged to love, honour and obey in an intimate ceremony attended by a handful of friends.

Just when you think you've heard it all!

redeemedsaint -> RE: Woman with objects fetish marries Eiffel Tower (6/7/2008 9:09:12 AM)

Sounds like she is a few bulbs short of a lamp.

colliefan -> RE: Woman with objects fetish marries Eiffel Tower (6/7/2008 1:12:18 PM)

But she is in a committed, loving relationship so who are we to judge her? After, doesn't the Bible tell us not to judge?

I never heard the tower say "I do." [;)]

I hope they have a long and happy life together.

I wonder how the presidential candidates will pander to this group of people? Promising that they will work toward her being able to marry....it[8|]

saraimay75 -> RE: Woman with objects fetish marries Eiffel Tower (6/7/2008 2:27:07 PM)

This is a relationship about control. Mrs. Eiffel says it herself

"Someone who falls in love with objects can control that relationship on their own terms," he said. "Their objects will not let them down. That is extremely attractive for a person who is otherwise often desperately lonely."

It could be her upbringing

She blames her upbringing for her condition. She claims to have been molested by her half-brother and abandoned by her parents to various foster homes.

Objects were the only thing that never hurt her so she love them. Is her love misplaced...Probably

At least she will always know were here 'husband' is. I mean he is going anywhere...Strong, silent and unmovable.

I am sure the California Supreme court would approve. And that these 'marriages' will be somewhat common place in the future.

It wasn't that long ago that a woman married a dolphin.

It will probably be on our ballot in November

It is going to be a rough honeymoon.

Thanks

"He just won't talk to me! Communication is key in a marriage, but I feel like I'm talking to a wall... errr, a tower!"

SonInMe1 -> RE: Woman with objects fetish marries Eiffel Tower (6/7/2008 10:08:09 PM)

When a man can marry a man...this is just the next logical step.

Though....I certainly wouldn't mind having a relationship with a 1965 2+2 Mustang...I am not sure I would marry it...that and my wife frowns on me dating.

That facial expression should say it all.

Well if gays can now marry then why not? Who am I to judge?

NealIRC -> RE: Woman with objects fetish marries Eiffel Tower (6/8/2008 10:05:52 PM)

I'm sorry, marriage is supposed to be a 2-way relationship, not 1.

This marriage fails.

Either that, or, I'm extremely gullible. :/

Who says? God? Tell that to our lawmakers. LOL.

everythingat -> RE: Woman with objects fetish marries Eiffel Tower (6/9/2008 4:55:10 AM)

I don't think marrying an inanimate object could be the next logical step to anything...except falling in "love" with an inanimate object. Obviously that's not love...when I had a pompadour, I was in love with my comb. To date we have two children with another one on the way, mind you...they have terrific hair. Just bought our first house...she's working in a barber shop to help pay our mortgage. We could play the next logical step game with just about anything...it's a little like Six Degrees of Separation, except without the other five "degrees."

The next logical step to going over the speed limit is street racing.

The next logical step to eating a hot dog is entering a hot dog eating contest against the world champion.

The next logical step to playing cops and robbers as a kid is either a) becoming a cop or b) robbing a bank.

The next logical step to playing a video game is to enter the magical world of Tron!

I like the last "next logical step" the best.

It sounds like you don't regret dumping the comb for your wife! [:D]

And I'm sure all the "Bible" states have outlawed divorce which is allowed for only one condition in the Bible and have passed resolutions calling remarriage adultery! Matthew 19:9 and Mark 10:11-12

What in the world would this have to do with marrying non-humans?
