I am considering purchasing a steam cleaner. I've heard they are great for cleaning bathrooms, kitchen grease, etc. Anyone use one on a regular basis? Any recommendations?

I have one...they're not that great! My house never gets very dirty, but I doubt very much if they'd take off caked on stuff on a stove top, or other heavy duty stuff. Like anything, they don't do what it looks like they do on TV. I was all exited when I first got it, but wasn't too impressed when I used it the first time on the bathroom. I ended up doing just as much scru bbing after I steamed as I usually do. I like to use mine outside on my windows..it's good for that...otherwise it just stays in the closet.[&:]

I have one. It's not a really high pressure one, but it's not bad. It's saved me scrubbing on some things and I can use it to get into cracks that I wouldn't otherwise be able to.

I used it to get the ice off the sides of an old freezer recently ~ worked great[:D]

I think you need to consider what you want to do with it. If it's for cleaning something that's in a really bad way, you may be disappointed, unless you spend lots on it. If it's to be used for just keep up things that aren't too bad, you'll probably be ok.

I have one and I actually like it. I don't use it for weekly cleaning but I will pull it out when I really want to get the toilet clean like around the bolts that hold the seat to the toilet or the base of the toilet around the floor.

I have used it when I had a stove that had tradition burners and it cleaned around the drip pans. For me it was the worth the money, I didn't spend that much on it.

I also have a steamer I use on my floors.
