Leah,
Them tree's in our yard were being cut down. We had it done in March.
Them blankets were all the ones I made over the winter. I think they turned out real well. Gave them all away as gifts.
It's raining out now. We got some pretty good downpours along with twisters around the area. My road is so flooded over I'm scared to travel down it. Had to take the kids to work tonight. Katie's car would not have made it through.

Dee, yes we have more rain. An inch in a half so far. Now they just issued another tornado warnings.

I hope the weather doesn't get too bad Barb. Thanks for sharing the picks. You have darling grandkids; those little girls are so big already! I love the quilts!

Well Bill, when the storm siren sounds you certainly don't have time to overthink things, I'll say that.

Thanks for identifying everyone, Barb . . . I had figured out it was you pulling the wagon, but that was about it . . . Katie is beautiful!

These storms are something else this year . . . it's terrible what happened in Iowa & Kansas. Crazy weather. We've got rain predicted for tomorrow, then supposed to be clear Saturday, rain coming about Sunday. Our family reunion is Saturday, so hope it stays clear, but not too hot for that.

Good Friday Morning Everyone

I've been thinking about Maggie also. Hope someone posts info about her today.

Well after our 3" plus inches of rain last night, all is well in my area. The house is still standing. The pier is under water, but it's tied to the tree's. The water covering the road is only 3" deep, so I will beable to get through today at least. I'm sure it will rise throughout the day, and tomorrow. We will just have to deal with it.

I have no daycare kids today, so me and Katie are going to some rummage sales

Good morning, all!

I've not heard anything from Maggie yet. She wasn't to come home until today, and that's if everything went as scheduled. Guess we'll need to give it a little more time.

Barb, I'm glad all is well. We are having t-storms. Rained hard this morning while we were cleaning the church. I had to be out in it some -- from the car to the store, house, etc., but so far I've not melted . . . I really don't like getting rained on, tho. Owell. Have fun at the yard sales!

I've been to the gym, cleaned the church, did the grocery shopping, had my lunch, and am now ready to move to the sewing room.

Anyway heard anything from Marsha, our Messianic Jew? It's been so long since she posted! Hope she is well. I don't remember her saying she was leaving on her Israel trip anyways soon.

I just got a note from Maggie . . she was online but I missed her . . . anyway, she's doing way better than anticipated, but the trip her has done her in so she's napping and will check in later. But all is well and she's home! . . . thanks for your prayers!

Maggie,
So happy to hear all is well

Well the rummage sales were a dissapointment. Not much of any there in the whole town. I did manage to find a few things for the grandkids tho.
But getting out of my road was rather tricky. The township has placed ruler markers on each side of the flooded roadway. It's up to 6" so far and we are not suppose to crest until Tues. I'm thinking about parking my van on the other side, and walking through it, insted of driveing through it. It's only a half a mile from my house so that is'ent to bad.
I took picture's..just have to have one of my daughters post them into shutterfly and put up a link for you all.....

Hi Ginny!

Hi Leah!

Glad you are here Maggie!

I hope the water gets and stays where it is supposed to Barb!

I went to yard sales this morning too; I had to leave town to pick up my daughter from camp, so we left early and went to sales in the larger town near us. Nothing overly exciting, but it was still fun. R managed to find some things she liked, and N got a new computer game. We'll see how it goes.

I now have 3 kids home, and picked up hubby tonight too. He'd been in Kentucky working at another plant.

Well I for one am glad it's Saturday. Last week was tough.

Hubby's sister died on Thursday, June 5; the bankruptcy hearing was on Friday, June 6th; news my sister was hospitalized came Saturday, June 7th and that my neice this sister's daughter was hospitalized June 7th as well; Sunday, the baby was born at one pound, 5 ounces; also on Sunday during my Sunday School class I found out that members of my new church do not believe in original sin and one of the women was very rude; Wednesday, June 11 I had a tooth drilled on for an hour and I went home for the afternoon sick; Friday, I got reamed at work.

Tuesday I spent the evening going through all my pictures to find pictures of my sister-in-law, scanned them on a CD at Wal Mart, downloaded them at home, then emailed them to family in Virginia. It took me a while as I had never done this before, scanning, downloading, emailing pics. I was busy until 10:00 pm and then I had supper.

And Wednesday I pushed myself to do the Financial Management course required for the bankruptcy. It took 3 and half hours and was very exhausting going over everything budgeting, goal setting, types of credit, car insurance, different agencies, consumer laws, etc. then there was questions to answer and pass and a final exam. Eight chapters of information to process and be examined on. And on Thursday I helped hubby with his so his only took two and half hours.

Friday morning we had a meeting with disgruntled students that I think my director thought they would bring up things about me which they did not. It was dissatisfaction with the college itself and questions to that nature. I was asked to do something for the students during the meeting and did exactly as requested then was reamed later that day because I did. Was told I should have thought outside the box and done something more.

The accumulation of stress got to me so when everyone was gone from the office I went to the bathroom and cried. Had a good relief balling my eyes out. Then I wasn't up to doing much so I cleaned the whiteboard, took out trash, and did simple stuff.

And I am still not sure I will have a job on July 1st.

Today I am catching up on cleaning. Praying and reading in the Word. Hubby and son are going to a baseball tournament for the rest of the weekend and I am going to have peace and quiet.

Thanks Maggie.

I am doing cleaning periodically throughout the day interplaying the cleaning with good old napping.

No pain killers in the house and my fibromyaglia is acting up. And I am not going to spend what little hubby gave me for cash to go out and buy some so guess the pain will continue.

But the napping is helping and I am not going gung ho on the cleaning.

Praying Ginny.

Hubby is back from out of town, and my 3 younger kids are all home. I picked up my middle daughter from camp Friday evening. Hubby had gone to Kentucky to work in the plant there; apparently things weren't going so well.

This afternoon hubby and his chain saw went and helped with the tornado damage in the nearby town. I still haven't been there to see the damage; they are only letting residents, volunteers, etc. into town. It sounds like none of the towns schools (a combined elementary/middle school and a high school) will be able to be used this fall. I don't know if the schools need extensive repairs, or will be totally torn down.

Oh my! Wow! I hope they find a solution in time. What a mess the weather is making in your country: tornados in Kansas, flooding in Wisconsin and Iowa and probably places in between. I hope you all stay safe.
