Women, do you care if a guy is taller than you?

Guys, do you care if a girl is taller than you?

Girls, do you care if a guy is younger than you?

Guys, do you care if a girl is older than you?

For both, how do you feel about large age differences in either direction?

I have a problem with girls who are taller than me.
I don't have a problem with girls who are older than me.

Age is just a number, maturity counts much more! I'm not sure how much older is OK for me but a few years is no big deal.

Have you met women taller than you?

I personally don't worry too much about height. Most men are taller than me so that's not an issue.

Age isn't really an issue either. The last guy I dated was 10 years younger than me, and my ex husband is 11.5 years older.

I probably won't stretch more than that though only because of life differences. *shrug*

I prefer a taller man but shorter wouldn't matter. I prefer an older man but younger wouldn't matter either.

Too large of an age gap in either direction would bother me for the reason that Tink mentioned and because one of would leave the other much sooner than I'd like.

Definitely! I'm too short that pretty much every guy is taller than me. However, I prefer men that are quite taller than me....don't know why. Maybe to compensate for my lack of height.

as long as he's not too much younger. Maybe 5 years younger. And 5 years older. Beyond that and I lose interest.

I don't care at all if the woman is taller or shorter, younger or older, etc.

True I'm 6'5", so in order to find a woman taller than I. I'd have to get someone from the WNBA

And as for age, if the lady is emotionally mature, even a great age difference wouldn't bother me.

Pauley, you'll still have a hard time looking in the WNBA. There's only about 10 or so women that are taller than you! (I know that because I looked wondering the same thing for myself!)

The most important thing to me is emotional Proximity. I don't mind if the man is shorter than me esp. if he has a GREAT personality. Also, I don't mind of he's a few years younger than me.

What I don't like is when there is an age gap between us...something like more than 7 years.

Younger or older doesn't matter, but taller? That would be too weird.

like everyone said, maturity is the eseence of it all.......
my parents are 12 years apart......though, and now i see the difference that makes, mom is still raring to go, and dad has quieted down a bit!!!!
Though, if communication was there, i guess compromise would be in the realm of possibilities.
I'm pretty short.......i think i've just met a couple of guys shorter then me.......i still thought they were cute! lol (maybe a bad choice of words)......anywayz.....a good ramble!

At my age - men younger than me are mostly all looking to still have families, so they are pretty much out of the picture. Most of the men older than me are nearing retirement, and since I'm looking at doing a PhD, that's pretty awkward too - them stopping their careers as I'm beginning mine.

So, it's really men who are my age who would be most compatible, however, I am really thinking that there may not be someone out there for me.

My height preference is taller are the same height. And I love to wear heels putting me at least 5'8".

I have issues with a woman being taller than me. I could tolerate maybe an inch or two, but no more. My 'ideal' gal would definitely be a few inches shorter, and I'm relatively average at 5'9".

Age-wise, I don't think I could date anyone more than ~7 years older/younger than myself. Being that I'd date for marriage, I'm looking for someone at least close to my stage of life. (both physically and mentally)

But if God throws someone simply amazing at me that defies both ideals, I'd guess still be in for it.

For obvious reasons there's not a huge amount of leeway in the ages of folks that I'd date.

Roughly four years each side (four years is a hard limit on the lower end for obvious reasons in my case).

Height? Meh. It's an irrelevant factor IMHO.

I definitely want someone taller than me! As far as age difference, the most important thing is that we would be compatible in maturity levels although I would feel funny if there was too big of an age difference.

Purely for the reason that I want more kids I want somebody younger. As long as I have enough money to be able take care of everybody, the more the better. My moments of true happiness in life come from my children. Plus I don't have a son and I would like to try for one. If it weren't for that, age wouldn't matter so much, four years either direction is a good proximity.

Height, I've dated taller than me, I'm a very average 5'10", makes me feel like I'm dating super models, lol, but I think for a life partner I prefer shorter.

Well not many men are shorter than me. Actually I don't think i've ever met a man shorter than me. I'm 5'2" so ya know.

As far as age, as long as they are legal. It really depends on maturity level though. There are some guys who are younger than me that are awesome. Some who are older than really need to grow up. It really depends on the person.

The only thing I am leery about is someone older ... since men have shorter lifespans and I really, really really do not wish to be a widow in my twilight years ... I want to grow old together. I want us to go home at the same time. But nothing is etched in stone.

Women, do you care if a guy is taller than you?

Just about everybody is taller than me. However, the current Person Of Interest is only slightly taller than I am. I have to admit, that is new. But he's growing on me. (ha.)

For both, how do you feel about large age differences in either direction?

Age is funny. I went out a little with one guy who was 39. (I'm almost--Hey! ALMOST!--43.) He was, to put it politely, an old poop. I went out several times with a man who was 52, and he was MUCH younger and funner. However, in the end, that one kind of fizzled simply because we are in such different life stages. He needed someone who could fly off to Jakarta with him for work next week, I need someone who can watch the 8&Under coach-pitch league playoff tournament this weekend.

So I won't say age is a deal-breaker, but I won't say it doesn't matter, either. It's a consideration.

Also, while there's not a lot of difference in lifestyles between a forty-almost-three-year-old and a 52-yr-old, the difference between a 62-yr-old and a 72-yr-old is definitely something to think about. I hope to still be running marathons at 62. At 72, I dunno...

HA! One guy's online profile said, "Please don't blast me for wanting a younger woman. Hey, if you have an old soul, that would be great. But I need young eggs, please."

Hey, nothing wrong with being honest upfront about what you need!
