Not to take anything away from Seaton's thread, but how many projects (LPs/CDs/DVDs) do you have by this year's top 5 quartet nominees?

28 - Inspirations
13 - Ernie Haase & Signature Sound
11 - Legacy Five
10 - Triumphant Quartet
2 - Gaither Vocal Band (not counting a half-dozen Homecomings--and this is a number I hope to increase one of these days!)

Interesting question. I'll have to go home and count! I've got some of all except the Inspirations.

Edit: Daniel, do I count Inspirations if their bass, Mike Holcomb, appears on a Greater Vision/Quartets CD/DVD? Also, do we count compilation CDs?

Don't count that for the Inspirations, since it was just one song.

I didn't count solo projects or projects where a member of the group appeared with another group. If I had counted Roger Bennett with the Cathedrals, I would have a number ridiculously big for L5!

As to compilation CDs--if they're a compilation CD of one group's songs, count them. If the group has just one song on another compilation, skip it.

This is CDs only. I have several GVB and SSQ DVDs, but I don't really consider DVDs when I am thinking of my music collection. Also, my cassette tapes are packed away, so I don't consider them either. Interestingly, the 2 groups at the bottom of my list are the 2 of which I have the most CDs. Of course, they have been around longer than the other 3 groups so that might have something to do with it. [:)]

Triumphant - 16 CD's plus 14 solo CD's from the guys - 4 DVD's
Legacy Five - 12 CD's plus 3 solo CD's (Roger and Scott F) - 3 DVD's
GVB - 4 CD's plus 2 DVD's (not counting any Homecoming stuff)
SSQ - 3 CD's plus 3 DVD's (not counting any Homecoming stuff)
Inspirations - 0

That is not the only group that I listen to, just the only quartet that I have projects from that is nominated.
