its not the thing itself that was off but the implications and the feeling. It was like I was marked for something and no one could tell me why or how.

I had a awful nightmare last night. I dreamed that I was a... girl with no morals, basically a guy-chaser. *shudders* I can only pray that that is one nightmare that never EVER comes true.

I was abused growing up. By my Cousin (sexually) and my Dad (physically). My Dad was the worst. Bloody noses, bruises on my face, kicks in my back, choking. He used to throw stuff at me. This lasted for maybe 8 years. I'm not entirely sure. But in 9th grade, it was the worst.

This past year, I was diagnoses with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder because of the abuse I went through with my dad. And let me tell you something, my DAD the one who ABUSED me did not get into ANY trouble. Instead of the police taking him, they took me because I used to fight back. Instead of him going to anger management, I went to pshyc wards. I was the only one who was punished. Doctors and my family told me it was MY fault that my Dad abused me. That what I did in my life, led my Dad to hurt me.

Until this year, when I was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, was when I started having the nightmares. I have a nightmare about my Dad hitting me and I wake up, thrashing and punching my bed or my pillow. I have other nightmares with my Dad yelling at me and giving me bloody noses, and I wake up screaming at the top of my lungs.

It wasn't until THIS year was when I was recognized. I started going to a Christian doctor, and he never ONCE told me it was my fault. He called it out on my Dad actually. He told my Dad straight up that what he did was wrong. I was relieved, because someone took notice of me and realized the damage that my own dad did to me.

But those are the nightmares that I had. Where I wake up screaming. Where I wake up thrashing. I have many flashbacks, and my dreams are the worst.

Do you realize that every time someone falls in their sleep, they ALWAYS wake up before they land? Well, my cousin told me thats because if we dreamt we're falling and we actually land, we'll be dead...in real life. Because when you dream and you fall, you passed out for a split second in real life. I don't know if I'm explaining it right, haha. My words come out like jumble on the internet. Tis' true.

I have dreamt other scenarios at which I was either at near death experience or I actually died. I don't think it possible for one to die in their dreams unless they were actually dying in real life, minus the assistance of a dream or anything else.

My worst nightmare right now is to wake up when I'm old, and look back at a life filled with regrets and "what ifs" that never were sought for more than a possibility.

And to see the ones I love most to wither in their walk with Christ.

What's really weird is when a dream starts out as a nightmare and then gets really funny.

That wasn't the case with my last one. But it'll make for a great suspense story when I'm finished with the one I'm working on.

The second worst nightmare I've ever had, I was like a superperson with powers (not the bad part of course ) but this evil guy wanted to kill me and at the end of the dream I was stuck in this cargo plane with the bad guy and he shot me in the stomach! When he shot me I jumped of course and then looked down at my stomach and woke up. After I woke up I had to actually check to make sure I hadn't been shot! It was that real to me. But I really think the dog or cat or something jumped on me in my sleep because I really felt it. It was horrible though.

Most of my dreams actually are either of someone chasing me with a gun (normally in humongous WalMarts...don't ask me why, lol ) or I'm almost drowning in water. So it's kind of normal to me to have bad dreams.

HA, it's alright. I used to be obsessed. I was munching them in my room like last year and my mom comes down the hallway and is like, "Katie, I can hear you all the way down the hallway." haha.
