Someone finally came out and said it...we are living in an age of rage. Not a pleasant thing but I'm sure you all have noticed the escalation of violence on TV and elsewhere in the news.

I am skeptical. There may be a rise in anger, but violent crime has been lower than it has been in previous years. I think there is a perception that rage is more common because violent stories get a ton of national news coverage. In the past, most would have been local. I can't turn on CNN or Fox without seeing some story about a child being kidnapped or murdered.

It is an age of murder then, seeing as how Jesus teaches us that to be angry at someone without a good cause it to be a murderer in your spirit - your most true self - even if you are vicariously participating in the murder/rage through TV or a video game.

God bless all abundantly,

Yes, and I am very, very angry about it.
