We stayed in San Francisco because it's two hours or less from everything you'd ever want to see.

I actually did Disney World the all-inclusive way. We stayed at one of their hotels and so they picked us up from the airport, they had stuttle buses to take us to each of the different parks, and they would have taken us back to the airport if we wanted. If you want to rent a car for a period of time, Alamo has a rental place within the Disney Empire with a shuttle that will pick you up from your hotel. We bought the dining plan, so the only money we spent on food was for a few bottled drinks. We bought our park tickets with the package. So when we got there we already had everything paid for. Pretty much the only money that left our pockets while there was for souveniers and a couple of server tips at the restaurants.

January wedding in Minnesota. We went to Oahu and Kauai in the Hawaiian islands. So beautiful and so perfect for us. Kauai is small enough you really feel like you know your way around after a few days. We went back for our 6th anniversary.

I also love London, England and Paris, France. You can walk EVERYWHERE and they are each exotic in their own right. Paris has great museums and great architecture, the Eiffel Tower...if you would be frustrated with the language barrier than England is the way to go. A friend of mine honeymooned in the countryside of England and her pictures are amazing. Europe is great for all the walking you do and all the little cafe's you stop and eat at. And yes, the pastries in Paris are to die for.

I'm sure you'll have a great time just being together -- wherever that is. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

But if we had it to do over (and had more to spend) - SANDALS!!!! Any Sandals, anywhere!!

Because Sandals can sometimes be on the more expensive side, a nice chain to go to that is lower priced is Bahia Principe (there's a few in the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Tenerife and Jamaica.)

we went to Niagara Falls, and we had a hotel room that looked out over the horse shoe falls... which they lit at night. It was wonderful. I didn't feel "guilty" when in the hotel because I could look out and see all the beauty there, and yet not be "out" and "doing stuff". We did do a lot of walking around, and we did see some other sites while there, and did some souvenir shopping and such, and it was all wonderful. One place we went while there was a butterfly santuary, and a butterfly landed on my head, and we have pictures of it. =) It was truly beautiful there. We walked to the Falls each day, we did the boat ride, we explored the different areas. =)

That sounds really nice, Gina.

We were dirt poor when we got married, so we splurged on our 10th anniversary. We went to Sandals in Jamaica, and absolutely cannot wait to go back. There was just nothing bad about it. Because we have kids, we loved that it was adult only; and because I am cheap; I loved that it was all inclusive. It was so relaxing. We never left the resort (although they offered day trips to sight-see), and we never got bored. I would highly recommend it to anybody looking for that kind of vacation.

Fluff monkey, what state are you in, and are you willing or unwilling to travel far and spend lots of money? Knowing these things would greatly help me answer your question.

For example, if you live in California, I can suggest all kinds of wonderful places if you want to stay in state...but if you're in Kansas and don't want to travel across the country, then all of my Californnia suggestions would be useless.

Which one?? We've done Whitehouse and Ocho. They both had their plusses one over the other but we might've liked Whitehouse just a little more. Hard to say. We didn't get a chance to go to the Dunn's River Sandals (but we did climb the falls). I'd like to go back to try that one. We just love Jamaica!!

We stayed all inclusive in Mexico. We loved it. We had been to Puerta Vallarta before, so we did not feel the need to leave the hotel, but we did. It was so fun. All you can eat, drink and nightly entertainment.
