That new song with Justin Timberlake and Madonna.

Two bastions of quality music. I'm starting to worry about you, Mike.

I was just listening to the pre-release version of the new Third Day. There's a song on it called "Other Side" that reminds of Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Nah, I just like that song, oh btw, you gotta admit that Madonna is indeed talented?

Nope. Good at marketing herself, but talented? Nope.

Well, I guess we will just have to agree to disagree even if sex sells.

The song that has been bringing me to my knees, with tears in my eyes, is Here I Am by Downhere. And Newsboys are my absolute favorite group. Has anyone heard of Across The Sky? Saw them in concert and they were really good.

"The Human Stain", "Love You To Death", and "Up Through the Ashes" by Kamelot. FINALLY got their latest album, Ghost Opera: The Second Coming, and those I think were the top standouts IMO. Nothing beats their older stuff but it's still good. Going back and listening to their older stuff after getting this though, they've definitely become my favorite band at the moment.

I like Kamelot alot. Not really the older stuff but the songs that came out when Roy Khan took over as singer. I only have their B;ack Halo, Epica, and Ghost Opera cds, and One Cold Winter Night (live).

I would have to say that my favorite new song would have to be Along Came a Spider from Alice Cooper. Great new album with Cooper doing the old style and no one does it like he does.

I just heard "My Soul Sings" by Delirious at Kingdom Bound, and it is an awesome song. Even though it came out a few months ago, it is new to me.

I can't stop listening to Gavin Rossdale's CD. His single Love Remains the Same is FAB!

And as a mom of various aged little ones, I must admit that Miley Cyrus' 7 Things and Natasha Bedingfield's Pocketful of Sunshine are not the worst songs in the world to have blasting over and over again from the basement hangout room.

How is Rossdale's solo work compared to his work with Bush? Back in the day I used to play their first album all the time.

It's pretty similar really. I think if you were a fan of Bush, you'd like this, too. The same kind of 90's rock to it. I DO think that Love Remains the Same is the most marketable song off of it because the CD is so "90's" and its the most modern sounding cut on it, but I enjoy it. I've always loved his voice.

Thats cool then, I have another cd to check out. I wasn't that big on 90's rock because of the grunge invasion, but Bush surprised me. Bush and Fear Factory were my only saving grace during the ****y 90's.

We saw Bush at the Gund in Cleveland back in their heyday, and I had never been to a concert before that where I thought I was going to implode from the crowd noise level! I've been to a LOT of concerts, too, but when that man ran his fingers through his hair, the crowd got so loud that it felt like bricks pushing on your chest. I felt like I couldn't breathe.

And of course, he had to run his fingers through his hair quite often...

Saw Live a week later and it was nothing like that... of course, Ed was bald then...

LOL. That reminds me of the two loudest bands that I have heard. It was Fear Factory (ears were down for 2 weeks after that one) and Nightwish (both sound and crowd reception). I swear Nightwish had the loudest crowd response I have ever heard.

I missed my chance to see Bush. But I was able to see Creed before the band dissolved. It ranks very high on my top concert lists. I remember when people made fun of that band so badly, but I figured screw them. I like them anyway.
