Well . . . unless Andy Griffith and/or Don Knotts disguised theirselves as someone a bit less noticeable.

I know, I know, he came as Les Beasley!!!!!

What if he is Les Nessman?

25 points to the points to the person who identifies this reference.

Les Nessman is a fictional character on the television situation comedy WKRP in Cincinnati (1978-82) played by Richard Sanders.

We have a winner. Congratulations Lynn.

Sam misspelled the call letters.

Sorry accuracy is important.

Followup question:

In the famous Thanksgiving episode, what did they prove about turkeys and how did they do it?

I think it was a helicopter, but that is close enough.

What did it prove?

Turkeys can't fly & Les should have known better then to use live turkeys...or even frozen tukeys would have killed somebody if they hit 'em ??

Well I will have to say Les was not my favorite character on that show. The doc came in second.

Actually, Les wasn't in on throwing the live turkeys from the helicopter, that brainstorm was from Mr. Carlson and Herb.

Les was reporting down below:

"Oh, the humanity."

"Some of the turkeys survived and they seem to be mounting a counter-attack."

That was a classic TV show. I still remember in the pilot where the station changed formats and Dr Johnny changed personalities and his name in the middle of a song.

Lynn,
Yes, "Cheers" was okay, too, and I did think of that.............................but

I was actually being even more silly than that...you'll probably think of it, or somebody else may have caught my originally intended silliness

Back to topic...I had originally really had the feeling, or maybe it was some kind of wishful thinking that Amerigrandpa was Tony Gore or Aaron Wilburn, but after several questions and answers back & forth somewhere around here in SG , I just gave up

Well, someone needs to come to my house and tell me what these wild things are that roam around and do fly. I have called them turkeys for 18 years. Seen them from little babies to grown up.

My grandfather had wild turkeys on his ranch. They can fly for short distances. Domestic ones, on the other hand, can't fly and they are dumb to boot. A turkey farmer once told a roommate of mine that domestic turkeys can drown in a rain shower when they look up to the sky to see what is hitting them and they get water in their nostrils.
