I would ask who Jimmy Buffett is, but I know Kerr's tried to explain that before. But sorry, I forgot. Honest.

(Seems like he may have been some kind of money guru. I can see how a lawyer would want his autograph, on a certain sort of document. )
That's Warren Buffett!!!

Okay if Daniel is really serious about not knowing this stuff would someone please enroll him in Pop Culture 101!!!!

Sorry...I see Gary has taken on the professorship of PC101!

I'd rather take SG History 101. My memory only has so much storage space.

Info on Jimmy Buffett

Thanks Gary.

You will note that he is one of only 7 authors to be on the best seller list for both fiction and non-fiction, in the company of Hemingway, Steinbeck and Dr. Seuss.

Oh come now, let's not pervert the boy, and turn his pure mind to mush. Living a sheltered life is a good thing in the whole scheme of things. I do think however he HAS to be educated on The Andy Griffith Show. Not knowing who Barney Fife is, is just a sin, and he can't get to heaven without that knowledge. LOL

I too have lived a sheltered life, I do know who Mick Jagger is, but I couldn't care less and have never been stoned, so I never listened to the stones. I had enough wisdom that looking at their photographs and hearing ABOUT them, told me all I needed to know.

By the way, has anyone seen Larry Delawder's comic impersonation of Barney Fife? He's EXCELLENT! (www.larrydelawder.com) YOU GO DANIEL! But for goodness sake son, get the DVD collection of the Andy Griffith Show. You have to live a LITTLE bit. lol.

LOL!!! You're right about Jagger...I too was never "Stoned" and didn't care for his music...had older brothers who did listen to it though thus my education into Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones. I much prefer SGM myself. Yes...he needs to have a class in Andy Griffith 101...some of the funniest stuff!

So Amerigrandpa isn't Mick Jagger but is he Andy Griffith?????

Possible, but if he was at the forums gathering last year, I'm sure we would have noticed if Andy Griffith was there!

Well . . . unless Andy Griffith and/or Don Knotts disguised theirselves as someone a bit less noticeable.

I have heard of the Andy Griffith show, I just haven't seen it and couldn't name its characters. So I'm not 100% ignorant about pop culture, just 98%.

"Pop Culture"

Seeing as how the Andy Griffith show has been around for 48 years, I wouldn't exact call that "pop culture."

Well, going by it's strict definition, I guess maybe so . . . but I always think of pop culture as something that's new and current.

Daniel, my goodness, it sure is fun picking on you.

"Sheltered Life"...seems that has the makings of a great and decent family show

Never "stoned" but I've had several rocks thrown at me, although not by Ernest T. Bass

My goodness Mr. Kerr...
I never attended non-SGM concerts that I had to worry about that kind of stuff...Oak Ridge Boys, Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, & George Strait!
Now I've attended MLB games that I had to be sure I didn't get stopped and charged with a DUI because the fellas behind me gave me a shower with their beverage of choice!

I know...Daniel is Amerigrandpa!
