Hiya Tink, thank you for popping in! I am about to pop out of forums very shortly. Oh, btw, I think I set a new record, I plowed through almost all of my subs in just a little more than 4 hours! And I had over 100 unreads too! BTW, on a seperate note, here is a Link to the Public Transportation thread that I started a couple of days ago.

Hey humble! I just saw that you had your own thread, I think yesterday. I really for all the time I have been on here did avoid this section and others so I'm still finding out things like that. Well, again, have a good, safe trip!

Thanks Wintery, yeah, I do have a thread here but it does not have the activity that some of the others have such as Deb's, Sharon-Marie's and Lioness's threads though.

Will you be visiting anyone in D.C. or will this be like your trip to San Francisco?

I will be visiting someone who I know from another forum, but other than that it will just be a pleasure trip. I hope to relax because I cannot seem to get myself motivated to do much of anything these days. Even when I went to San Francisco last fall I spent most of my time in the hotel room instead.

Gosh, I'd be trying to see as much of the National Gallery and the Smithsonian as possible. Also the Lincoln Memorial, the Vietnam War Memoral and a White House tour. Lots of history there...wow!

Yes, and San Francisco has a real lot to see and do too! I just have to motivate myself to do those things.

San Fran doesn't have much history, though. I did like the deYoung Musuem in Golden Gate Park. I visited it as often as possible when I lived in Marin. What I miss is my family and my friends.

Yeah, its hard moving away from family. That is what I probably will ultimately miss when/if I ever move from here.

I still haven't made friends here, mostly due to my disability, so that's made moving here difficult. It's been six years, and I'm still a newcomer.

Lots of history there...wow! Mrs. K and I spent a whole day just in the Portrait Gallery. The Holocaust Museum and the Vietnam Memorial were the most moving things I have seen. Pictures do not do them justice.
