I don't come to the forum very often until recently. I thought I was in the "Christian Only" section. Must be mistaken because a 65 page thread of people complaining wouldn't be found there.

Are you serious? It would be one thing to be a person trying to help build or grow your church but to be the one just complaining about it is really sad. Call me what you want but this shouldn't happen.

Do I like everything that goes on at my church? No, but I don't weaken the value of what God is doing to complain about what I don't like or that sister so n so is on the worship team and she can't sing. Why not start a thread on the many ways we can pray for our pastors, youth pastors, worship leaders, etc.? Why not start a thread on how I can do what ever it takes to see God move in miraculous ways at my church? Yah, that would belong in the Christian Only section. Of course I am sure it wouldn't reach 65 pages.

OK, throw stones.

OH OH OH!!! I have another one!!!

There are vicious mosquitos at our church that will eat you alive if you let them. I was sitting INSIDE the sanctuary, waiting for the youth service to start, and I got bitten by one on the knuckle of my left index finger of all the places. Then, I got bitten on my shin and I was wearing long pants that evening. The evil thing flew up my pant leg just to get a taste of me!!!

Ok...I think I'm done.

FYI, this is a lighthearted thread, more poking fun at actual whiners than whining ourselves. Go ahead and read through a couple pages - you may be surprised.

We have those. The same people posting in those flipflop back and forth between this one and those.

LiveLOUD,

You are new and have missed the point of this thread. It was originally meant as a less than serious topic. You will notice that there have been lots of picking and silliness which even Christians sometimes need.

I trust bald and overwieght pastors, even if their wives play the organ.
But a pastor with the hair thing going, if you lit a match next to their hair, it would probably blow the roof of the church off.

So follwoing that train of thought, its is a fact that pastors with perfect hair are plotting to blow up the church. And thats why I'm whining.

Thats really the only whine I have. I love my church, my pastor and my church family, well I don't like pinky rings either. But I'll let someone else have that whine. I don't want to be a whiner glutton,

Some of us are actually wives of deacons who get to hear a lot of complaining. I don't HAVE to come up with fresh complaints- I hear at least a few new ones each month. **GASP!** say it ain't so!

My honest complaint- if YOU don't wanna tell the deacon body yourself then DO IT... don't bug ME to tell my husband... If it ain't worth your time to chat with the deacons, then perhaps it isn't worth complaining about.

My husband was an elder for years and people would come to me with complaints about the church, thinking I would tell my husband, not asking just thinking. I never told him. If it wasn't bad enough for them to tell him, then it wasn't bad enough.

LOL! well I know that if I used that line they'd know I was telling a lie- cause it is quite obvious that i kinda like my husband. One doesn't manage to have 6 kids and NOT like their man.

NOW- I might tell a few sunday school teachers "I know, he annoys me too..." re: a few of the kids from time to time. Though Mr. Ugly got a spanking last night and woke up Mr. Happy so maybe he really does need a monthly spanking. *throw up hands* Some kids...

I could complain a bit about them- the SS teachers that think bad behavior is cute *rolls eyes* but then they are just being grandma's and telling themselves that they can send them home in an hour--->AND I am not having to teach the class.

I swear, I'm going to scream at the next person who tells me not to look at looks. It's probably from years of my mom saying, "You know, there are a lot of girls out there who aren't all that pretty who are really sweet." Yeah, and there are some nice looking ones who are sweet as well. (I was interviewed by one while trying to get a job the other day. She wasn't glamorous or anything, but she had a really attractive face, smile, etc. - no, I didn't "check out" the rest of her, it's just something about her face.)

It kind of makes me mean. "TD Jakes, you'd better hope it ain't about looks. Kerry Shook - you hypocrite - your wife is actually nice looking."

The only one who made me feel good was Olsteen, "My wife is a beautiful & classy woman. And my friends were afraid t otalk to her at first figuring she'd be snobby. but she is one of the warmest and kindest people you will ever meet."

Well, that and hearing a young woman at church say that her mom does basically the same thing as my mom.

So sorry that this post is an interruption but I'm coming in to Whine about my computer. Yes I have only half of a brain so please be kind.

What in the world is a BROWSER? I have written it down somewhere but I can't find the piece of paper it was on. Does everyone in the world know what a browser is? Everytime I hear the word, browser, I think it's a name of someone's dog and that can't be right.

While I'm whining so early in the morning, I might as well go for broke.

Is it just me, or am I the only one who thinks computers are getting way too complicated?
How is it that spam gets to my email (even though I have signed up so I don't get any spam) and then again...
I have a couple of sites who DON'T/WON'T come into my mail and I WANT them to come in! I have no idea what to do about that.

Oh my!
So sorry for shouting and whining but I think my blood pressure has gone down. Thanks for listening/reading.

A browser is what you are doing when you don't want a sales person to bother you. "Just browsing".

browser - A program that accesses and displays files and other data available on the Internet and other networks. Entering a website's URL in the address window of a browser will bring up that website in the browser's main window.

Never mind the e-mail...what about all the invites to links on my offline messages through my IM server?!?
I don't know these people but they act like I do. There must be enough gullable people who fall for it though cause it happens all the time.

At first I was labeled as a woman in my profile so I turned that off to cut down on the IM spam, but now that they think I am a guy, it's worse!!! What has that got to tell ya? Think about it..........................

Now that I've gotten that off of my chest, time to go to church.

To get back to whining about church: our new paster gives home work. We're suposed to make a list of worldly goals (like power, money) and a list of Godly goals. I have a sneaking suspicion that next week he'll tell us to follow the second list. I need an easy list fast.

Pastors are skeery people to me. I always assume when they ask a question that it's a trick. Like when one asked, "If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and lays duck eggs, what is it?" I figured the answer had to be an angel, a saint, or a prophet but I froze up and could only think of a duck. I blurted out something about my cat being on fire and I needed to rush home so he didn't think I'm nuts - or backslidden.

Normally, the answer is "Jesus". But the 'lay an egg' part doesn't really fit. So the answer must be "the old covenant law".

I was leaning toward "Red Heifer" but the laying an egg stumped me there too.
