The very first realization that I was actually going to get older was when Adam Cartwright showed up years later as Trapper John.

How'd that happen?

A bit of maturity goes a long way. Paul commends it in his epistles.

But does it have to commend all over my face?

lol

That's why ladies use means: 1) cosmetics; 2) extra ear piercings; 3) maybe a little tasteful tattoo somewhere, erp. if faith related; 4) whatever....

So, anybody know whatever happened to Angela Cartwright? She was the main reason I used to watch Make Room for Daddy and, later, Lost in Space.

Tattoos are too painful for me - I'm just a wuss at heart.

I've chosen skin care, a little cosmetics and marrying a man younger than myself. Course, that decision was made 11 years ago, but it seems to be working thus far.

Great!

Of course a tasteful little tat need take only 20 minutes if the design does not involve a lot of color, and you know tattooists do keep rubbing soothing ointment continually. Does the idea of a faith related tat appeal at all? or maybe it doesn't at all.

Take care, young lady!

My wife did the same thing, marry a younger man. I have enjoyed being her eye-candy these 36 years.

I guess she didnt even need the thought of a tattoo to enter her head, then...

Take care

about tattoos...I once thought an upright sword (like a cross) with a vine wrapped around it would be cool on the back of my shoulder.

Then I thought again and said..uh no. But, I do have friends with tattoos of scripture and scenes of noah's ark and Christ's ascension.

And, I know I always think of Jimbo when I think of eye candy

Then I thought again and said..uh no.So 20 mins of discomfort for a small one would still be too much? it is for some ppl, anyway. But, I do have friends with tattoos of scripture and scenes of noah's ark and Christ's ascension. Sounds like you are realizing they can be good conversation starters, anyway.

Sure, I got no problem with tattoos whatsoever...none

I like them and some of them are just beautiful.

Conversation starters for Christians...sure, why not?

I'm not sure I'd agree with getting a tattoo just so I can relate to the culture, but I can see getting one as a witnessing tool if I was convicted to do so.

I guess it's the case of assessing the value FOR YOU of such conversation starting activity, right? looks like you would be able to endure a few minutes of (well salved) inking, if it was the means to an end you would appreciate being involved in, right?

Take care

Considering that God doesn't need me to save someone, I would still be the one with the tattoo and I would still have to be convicted of having one beyond just the possiblity of starting a conversation.

I mean, I don't need one to talk to people, but that doesn't mean that someone else couldn't use their's in order to talk to people.

And, I'm not really a "the means justify the end" kinda gal.

I guess, sure. So maybe you would also need to feel very committed to a particular design that you felt was right for you for aesthetic reasons, right? do any especially appeal to you, the sword maybe?

Take care

well yeah...there is no accounting for taste in some people regarding wallpaper, car colors or tattoos.

of course, this comes from a person with pink flamingos in their yard.
