I have a couple of prayer requests...
1. Sharon will be traveling to Maryland in a few days for finalizing a buch of things for our wedding. Pray that things go smoothly for her.
2. Our new cat, Sheba, and Tiger seem to be becoming good friends. However, Sheba has also come down with (hopefully, nothing more than) a cat version of the cold. Sharon will be taking her to the vet today.
3. I have some unspoken prayers that I would greatly appreciate your prayers for. God knows what they are....

Please pray for the application process with my teaching certification. Everything is under review, and I am awaiting notification whether I am qualified off my transcripts to be able to teach math (it shouldn't be a problem). Additionally, I'm applying for both substitution and contract positions in two counties. I truly believe this is the direction God is moving me, and I just want to do what He wants for me.

Update:
Apparently the people that I interviewed with a couple of weeks ago has chosen someone else, as I have heard nothing from either company. :( So there doesn't seem to be any new prospects at the moment and I really need to get back to work. I guess it kinda goes without saying that I need His provision as well.
Also, two days ago my youngest dd broke her arm again in the same spots as before. And only 3 weeks after the doc gave her the all clear, but be careful anyway. Doc said that if she were to break it again, it'd break in the same spots and it did, but worse this time. Her fingers are still swollen too.
My older dd got a job and thinks she'll like it. I just pray that her boss doesn't try to take advantage.

While I'm looking around, since I just joined a couple of hours ago, let me post a couple of prayer requests:
my 21 year old has just started with panic attacks and has had 2 big ones in the past 4 days.
I quit my job at the end of January (and would do it again if I had to do it all over again). I have been job hunting and not finding anything. Please pray I don't miss where the Lord is leading.

I just got an email from my friend in Afghanistan - she's fine - but in the process of gearing up some things there - so am just asking for her protection and safety for all involved (she's not at a US based camp), and that she is able to quickly pick up the language that surrounds her right now.
Additionally, I'd like to ask prayer for the salvation of someone very dear to me.

I had such a huge surprise the other night. My one grandma has been living with an aunt that is close by and I went to pick her up to take her over to my hometown with me so she could have some time to stay in her own house for a few days. On the way over she asked if I would be going to church on Sunday and if it would be ok if she joined me. She's 84 years old and has never gone to church like that ever! Her father was a minister in a religion that doesn't line up with Scripture and although she never continued to follow that when she grew up she always said she would feel like she was betraying her father if she went to a church of another faith. So you can imagine the excitement I felt when she asked if she could go with me. It was so amazing the things the pastor touched on....they were things I know were meant for her ears to hear. My prayer request is that you would please pray that God would continue to work in her heart and the things she heard today would reach deep in her heart and that she would draw closer to God.
I still can't get over the excitement of all this. It shows me that she really is pondering things in her heart.
