Nice picture Jill - pretty kitty too!

If you want to use it as an avatar - it has to be no bigger than 145x145 pixels. You can reduce it in almost any photo software - but always remember to change the name and save the original!!!

Miss Giggles -> RE: Photography (7/11/2005 8:22:22 PM)

I did resize it, I have irfan view and photoshop elements (save for the web option), it says it uploaded but then it keeps showing bucky. I think other people are having the same problem if you look on the testing thread.

Thanks Beckey! I am trying to find some flowers to take pictures of LOL

BeckeyZ -> RE: Photography (7/11/2005 8:30:02 PM)

did you hit apply at the bottom of the profile screen after it says it uploaded okay? A lot of people forget to do that (uh, including me) sometimes.

Miss Giggles -> RE: Photography (7/11/2005 8:42:31 PM)

I will try it again.. thought I did

Whew! My mouse can relax. [8D]

I was browsing the digital SLR's on e-bay yesterday and saw a new 12.1 megapixel Nikon, the D2X or something like that. Only $4500! I think I'll get a couple. [8|]

BeckeyZ -> RE: Photography (7/12/2005 1:12:00 PM)

What a bargain Bill!!!

We wanna see pictures!

I made an album in the photo gallery today, I am not to impressed though. [sm=comp1.gif]THe space for each picture is fare to small, 50Kb and a total of 250Kb. Most of my pictures are at a size of at least 1,5 MB.......
Put at least a little sneak look at my photoes.[:)]

By the way, Congratulation with new camera.

tralletonetroll -> RE: Photography (7/12/2005 5:39:03 PM)

I forgot: the name of the album: (simple) Tralletonetrolls album

Miss Giggles -> RE: Photography (7/12/2005 6:05:36 PM)

Its working now.. hmm.. maybe a hiccup in the system.

Nice pictures tralletonetroll. I like the online photo sites. I had a job in which I did NOTHING (long story) for hours and at least I could spend hours on webshots.

very pretty pics tralletonetroll!!! I like the way you manipulated them...I don't know squat about doing all the neat tricks like that.

I worked in charity organisations for many years, and even though I worked as head of account in one and as a manager in an other - there was always to few people to do the stuff that was needed to be done. So I ended up working at night with the newspaper, with the adds and stuff like that. That made me learn to manipulate photoes. It is realy fun if you have the right tool.

PreserveWildlife -> RE: Photography (7/12/2005 6:57:56 PM)

I like my Kodak Z740 enough. That and knowing how to use Photoshop CS2. :)

tralletonetroll -> RE: Photography (7/12/2005 7:09:55 PM)

photoshop is great software. I love it, just need a little more money to get it.

Miss Giggles -> RE: Photography (7/12/2005 7:16:33 PM)

I have an older version of Photoshop Elements.. It is fun (or frustrating to play around with photos)

I had an exboyfriend who knew how to use the regular version. It is pretty cool what you can do. Just the fact that you can cut people of the pictures is enough ha ha

Heres one picture

(I guess you are in luck uncabeeil, it won't let me save it as an avatar)

but it is a picture of my cat. She wasn't too impressed though.

Hi Miss Giggles,
Nice cat, nice photo - very clear/crisp.
I also peeked at your profile there. You might like to take a look at this site - it includes 12,000 - that is twelve thousand! - recipes

Miss Giggles -> RE: Photography (7/13/2005 7:32:46 AM)

cool I will check it out thanks

anybody recommend a good beginner book (for figuring out these film speeds? thanks)

found a beginner class at the local college for 100 something dollars.. that sound about right?

uncabeeil -> RE: Photography (7/13/2005 3:26:09 PM)

The Amateur Photographer's Handbook.

Miss Giggles -> RE: Photography (7/13/2005 6:20:20 PM)

Thank You uncabeeil.

uncabeeil -> RE: Photography (7/14/2005 11:17:26 AM)

You're welcome. I think it's probably the best book out there for beginners. The author doesn't assume that you already know stuff.

landabee -> RE: Photography (7/15/2005 10:25:51 AM)

Okay, I've updated my photoalbum here at CW... for those of you that I didn't send email pics... enjoy!

Beckey, I'm really getting quite attached to my camera! Thanks, girl!!! I think I've been bitten by the photog bug!

adoration -> RE: Photography (7/16/2005 4:14:01 PM)

Ah finally I found what I'm looking for all day, ppl who love PHOTOS!!!! WOOOOHOOOOO!

I made a neat banner with some recent pictures... but I can't post it. [:(]

I have noticed something though, I'm obsessed with shooting small things up close... My lens is almost always on micro mode, and I'm just crazy about pictures with the frame filled up with something. If I want a scene I want a big picture, somehow my eyes, want the camera to produce what I see and I find myself 35mm frustrated with larger things.
