4) Something like the "active topics" link we had. (If we have something like that here, I haven't found it yet.)

Oops -- just found that at the bottom of the page of the forums list.

2. As someone else said: DIFFERENT BACKGROUND COLOR FOR THE POSTS!!! White gets a bit harsh to look at after a while. The yellowish background of the old Christianity.com was VERY good.

White? The background I see is a very nice blue.

The colours depend on whether you're coming from C.com or CW. Each has a different appearance.

I agree with those who've said they'd like the restriction on posting again too soon in a short period of time removed. The game threads can move very quickly.

I like the blue, mostly because it allows me to post in PEACH with a background that makes it easy to see, as long as you're coming from CW.

I found the secret to subscriptions:

If you're subscribed to a THREAD make sure you go to My Subscriptions and UNCHECK the e-mail notification.

If you're subscribed to a FOLDER go and unsubscribe. Right now, that feature is still under construction, so subscribing to a folder will get you nothing but spam.

How about giving us the ability to choose multiple styles?

Is there a way to have "Notify me via e-mail when someone replies" unchecked by default?

One other thing I miss from the old CW -- the info. people could put at the sides under their username. Some people had their real first name there, and I just realized mine wasn;t there. Some people I know by their usernames, some by their first names, so I'm still figuring out who's who.

I'd like to add the following Wish List item:

The ability to Add a Poll to an exisitng thread without having to edit the OP.

Because as things are (if I understand correctly), only the Mods can edit a post. As things are, the "Add Poll" option exists, but only when you Edit the OP, and if a regular forums user cannot edit a post, they can't add a poll.

Thus, the "Add Poll" option exists, but in order for it to be used by the general public, I'd like to see the option available within the post without having to edit the OP.

Bottom line: I'd like to see anyone have the ability to open a poll in a thread they started. :-)

Everyone can edit their own posts. So, the originator of a thread/poll can edit their original post.

Cool. I knew that used to be true. For some reason I thought it had changed. I've seen at lease one poster ask what happened to the Edit option. I suppose a non-Moderator can clarify if they can edit their own posts or not. :-)

This was just posted by Fritz.

Click link --> HERE <-- (post 71).

Edit and Delete feature

Users have a 2 day window in which to edit and/or delete their posts.

Thus, a regular forums user will only have a 2-day window to add a poll. Thus, I repeat my wish list item to have the "Add Poll" option more readily available, without having to edit the OP within 2 days.

I'd just like the polls to be a seperate entity from the OP. The thread title and teh poll question aren't always the same.

I'd like the older topic/newer topic buttons to also be at the bottom of the thread to eliminate the need to scroll back up after reading everything.

I'd like the option of sorting the folders by when the thread was started, not by when it was last posted in.

from my understanding, the signature in your profile is the same on ALL posts, new or old. So I change my sig in my profile and all my old posts change.

I'd like the signature to be more static than that. That way you can see how signatures change and how people change them.

Depending on the view, you can click on the thread list headers and change the order.

but that doesn't sort it by the date it was started, unless I wasn't doing it right. I could get it to sort alpha by author or by title, but not by date started

Could there be a link to "my subscriptions" at the bottom of each page so I don't have to scroll all the way back up to the top. It just seems like I have to go through a lot of rigamarole to get to my next new post.

Also, in the list of "my forums," it would be nice if it would show either just the title (if there are no unread posts) or part of the first unread post. It seems like a lot for my eyes to sort through right now.

One more thing. I'd like to suggest that the "Women's Issues" folder be called "Women Only." I think Women's ISSUES has a negative connotation, and since there won't be a "Women Only" subfolder like we had before, now seems like a good time to make that change. I started a thread about this in that folder, and at least a few have agreed with me.

Of course the "Men's Issues" could also be changed to "Men Only."
