what are your views on smoking? I don't believe in it personally, it's harming to the body which is the temple of Christ.

because they are stupid and think it "looks cool" which it doesn't. or they think it makes them lose weight fast.

they should take smoking and throw the cirgars and just burn them and like get rid of them PERIOD!!! so they would stop and the drinking 2.

You know, I'm not for smoking. It stinks, it's unhealthy, and it costs a fortune. But it's not listed as a sin. I think that people automatically calling smokers "stupid" is legalistic and downright rude. Of two verses that are always pulled out to make smoking a "sin," the one referring to your body being a temple in context is actually referring to sexual purity (though, of course, it CAN be applied to other areas) and the one that states you should only be controlled by the Holy Spirit is not entirely relevant, because smoking doesn't affect your mind the way drugs and even achohol do. It's a bad habit. And even though people know it hurts them, it's a very difficult habit to break.
And before you start pulling me outa context, I will repeat I do NOT condone smoking. But I don't think it should be so readily judged.

i agree with Steph. it is a very foolish thing. you will mess yourself up and spend a ton of good money that could have been given to missionaries, or some other more noble cause. i dont want to go around judging people a lot, though.

pretty much agree with steph.
plus most people who start smoking is for even stupider reasons.. but usually thats cause they start it when they are young

I don't think it's a sin, however it's potentially addicting ('potentially' because I know there is at least one person going to say they don't get addicted.) and we should be free from all addictions. AND there are no benefits.
however, it costs a lot of money, it is damaging to the body AND to those around the smoker. and it stinks. cigarette smoke smells worse then anything. and it ages you.
So, it's expensive, hazardous, and makes you a smelly, old-looking person.
Sounds like a waste to me.

I never said it was a sin, I just think its smells bad. My aunt and uncle smoke, but my cousins stopped.
