Hi brothers and sisters,
I'm asking prayers for my family's friend "R". . He has been through so much. He was an alcoholic and God delivered him from that and he has been dry for a very long time around 20 years. God blessed him with a wonderful wife and she fought cancer for years of their 10 year marriage and he was by her side when she died. He is now physically disabled and eight years ago he met his girlfriend who he says is a Christian. She had hard times too and they have been living together for the last eight years. Our friend has been trying to get her to agree to marriage since the beginning and is so bonded to her. His girl friend keeps agreeing to marry and then something comes up. They need to buy rings and pay for them on lay away, then the month of their marriage comes and goes,then they want to go to a special place to get married and then there is not enough money. Anyway, he called recently and said the marriage will be in October. I really feel for this guy. He says they want to do God's will and get married the last time he called. I'm not sure what it is fear or what from the woman. Anyway, it just keeps going on and on, year after year. Our friend does have bipolar , but seems to have been pretty stable on his meds, but this could be the factor, but he had a very successful marriage before. Please pray for this these two.
Father, You know what is going on - please bring resolution to this up in the air state of their relationship. In Jesus' Name Amen
