This is a loaded post, be prepared.
Just curious, what has become of the Hairie Family? They had the best of the many versions of "Mountain Top For Me".
Where are the various members of the former Journeymen Quartet? Anthony Facello is the only one I know of that is still singing.
What about Promise?
What groups still use a live band? I can think of the Shepherds, Thrustons, Forgiven Band. Who else?
I read a few days ago in an '04 issue of Singing News about Jason Selph leaving the Kingsmen and moving to New Jersey. What's he doing now?

And what about Derrick Boyd? Nick Succi? Grant Baker?
Who was it singing lead on the 1st Gold City recording of "I'm Not Giving Up", wasn't it David Hill? Is he still singing?

Where can I find a soundtrack/ or demonstration to the Nelons song "Covered By The Blood"? NOT the one by the Spencers. I tried to order it twice from a local christian bookstore when it came out, only to get both times the Spencers song.

well...I know that most of the Journeymen are not singing right now. I believe Stacey Murphy is diong Insurance or Real Estate. It's been a while since i have talked to him though. The Old Paths use a live band on concert events but not all the time. I can't think of many other than Crabb Revival. David Hill had a trio for a while but I think he is working as a DJ somewhere and yes, he was on I'm not giving up...it doesn't really answer alot of your questions but that's what I know! LOL

I can't help on most of those, but the groups I've seen lately with bands include the Kingdom Heirs, the Gaither Vocal Band, and the Gospel Enforcers. The Primitive Quartet and the Isaacs are their band.

i believe the singing echoes, the freemans, jason crabb, mike lefevre qt use either a live band or split tracks. THe dixie echoes use live instrumentation :)

Derrick Boyd - i believe he is singing with the blackwood gospel quartet
Nick Succi - went back to canada and i think he's attending college
Grant Barker - I believe he went off the road and started playing with his old group.

Of course, I'm not an insider....just a fan who's heard and saw on websites haha

Jason Selph moved to Delaware, where his wife Mandy is from. He works for the US Post Office; and he and Mandy had their first child, a boy named Jon Kaden, born in March.

The Nelons sell that track online on their website. You go to store, then select soundtracks. That track is on Seasons of Songs Volume 2.

The only catch is, that the CD is sent to your computer and you have to burn it to CD yourself.

If so, they had a great song out a couple years ago called "Brought Nigh By The Blood". Didn't they relocate to Florida?

They had moved to Florida, then they moved back to NC...Cashiers, I think. I also think they've disbanded or they only do limited engagements because Jeanie Cameron got married and moved to another state with her husband. I'm not sure where Larry Madden is now, but the other lady in the group goes to Trinity Baptist in Asheville and she helped with our tent revival that just ended. (Her last name is Sexton, but I can't think of her first name, which is horrible, because she was at my house a couple of times in the past month.)

They were a really good trio. All of them were/are great singers.

Yes, that's them. They were good.
Jeanie Cameron now lives in Clevland, Ohio.
Was Jeanie the one featured on "What A Day, What A Moment"?

I've never heard Tom Ghram, but I would also be interested in knowing about Dan Clark. If you ask me he sounded remarkably like Rex Nelon.

Speaking of 'sound-alikes', Harold Gilley sure could sound like george Younce. I have a 4-pack CD set of Danny Funderburk & Mercy's Way, and on one of the CD's the quartet is singing "Plan Of Salvation", but much slower than the Cathedral's cut on "Master Builder". If the 2 tracks were the same speed, then the 2 groups's cuts would sound almost identical. If you listen closley, you'll hear that there are some VERY small vocal inflections that are different between George and Harold on the verses. But to someone who isn't critically listening, Harold could definatley pass as George.

Brad Kemp is in Kansas with his wife and child I belive he has a son also I could be wrong on the child being a boy or girl.

Yes, Jeanie was featured on that song. Her voice is unbelievable.

Dan Clark moved back near Louisville and resumed his career as an engineer (mechanical, I think). I usually see him at NQC. What a nice guy.

Tom and Paula Graham moved back to Ohio?? I think that is where they were from. They lived in Mt Pleasant, Tn while he was singing with the Stamps. I haven't heard that he is involved in SG anymore. I would love to know more about them if anybody has any info. Nice family!!
