I was just wondering what the different statuses around here were.

Please tell if you are a never married single, divorced, or widowed, and if you are with children, without children..and how many..and also grandchildren.

This is NOT to judge anybody...I just want to get to know each person better, so I better know your needs. IE, if you are a never married single with a child, I'm not going to flame you, we all make mistakes..I just think if I know this, I can respond to posts better..and even pray for you better.

And I didn't want to do it as a poll, cause this is about getting to know you better, not about statistics.

I guess I should start with myself. I'm never married, no kids, but I love being an aunt to my niece and nephew, and surrogate aunt to all the kids at church.

mods, if this is too much like the intro thread, I'm sorry. I didn't think it would be, but just realized it could be. If this thread has to be locked, I understand..and please understand..I wasn't trying to do anything bad..just didn't realize the similarity until it was too late...and even though we can delete posts, we can't delete threads..If I goofed here, I'm sorry, and thanks for your patience.

eh, it seems fine to me - we didn't necessarily ask these things in the intro thread.

For me, I'm rapidly approaching 47 and have never been married and have no kids. Only have one nephew who is almost 36.

Wow, what a wonderful thread! I think you're exactly right, getting to know people better helps to better pray for their specific needs

I'm divorced, have an 11 yo son with ADHD who leads me on all sorts of adventures and challenges, and brings incredible joy to my life.

I'm a lot like you OneOfHisJewels. I've never been married and have no kids but am loving being an aunt. In fact I'm an aunt in denial that my oldest nephew is old enough to be going to college next year. I have 2 nephews and 3 neices. I also have many kids that have adopted me as their aunt...and that just blesses my heart!

just turned 30, about a couple of months ago! Before reaching 3, i was filled with a lot of dread, but now it is so far been a really good age! No little ones, and my sisters arent married and have no babies either. Though, i am surrounded by little monsters for the better part of my day, and do enjoy loving on them!
Ohh, and never been married!

I'm 48, widdowed, and yearning to have a husband or even date again. But the problem is that people have problems w/my widowhood and afraid of me because of my race.

48, divorced...twice (first time we were both just stupid, 2nd time he was--made bad choices), no kids, 2 cats (I'm hope I'm not like one of those cat ladies) and hope someday to be married again. Right now, though...intent on learning who I am in Christ and what He's called me to be/do. And learning to make the most of my single state for Him!

I have a niece I'm really close to emotionally, although far apart in miles...and 4 nieces and a nephew I've never met.

Thanks. I know there's nothing wrong with being single. It's just that I find it very lonely at times. (More so now than I used to.)

I can totally relate! We're at "that age" where we feel we should have been married by now, and are probably wondering if we ever will. This place is wonderful for those times when we need to feel a little "connected" to others. (((((Robb)))))
