But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.
Psalm 59:16 NIV
Wrestling with time and grappling fear
Enduring the world’s grievous paradigm
Yet peace be a conqueror when Jesus is near
Days spin like whirlpools drowning drear
Indispensable tasks an insurmountable climb
Wrestling with time and grappling fear
Alluring illusions of control appear
Close your eyes to hear Heaven’s song chime
And peace be a conqueror when Jesus is near
Like a great waterfall shed many a tear
Each day holds no reason or rhyme
As you wrestle time and grapple fear
Holy promises offered oh so sincere
Hope blossoms as florets in springtime
Peace be a conqueror because Jesus is near
Prayer brings hope from the heavenly sphere
Majesty of our God forever sublime
Surrendering to time and mastering fear
Peace be my conqueror when I hold Jesus near
