Yes! I am so glad that you clicked onto this link! If you are here right now, then you, I, and GOD (for that fact) all know that you want to be delivered and set free from this negative emotion. And that is a GREAT thing! So, let’s talk about conquering a complaining attitude.

The best way to start is with the Word of God. It has been my lifeline for life-change, and it will do the same for you if you apply it. Philippians 2:14 says, “Do all things without murmurings and disputings.” (NLT) Trust me, the Holy Spirit will help you to live out this verse and develop a new mindset.

For instance, when you begin to feel yourself starting to complain or start a huge argument, the Holy Spirit will quicken you to either stop or consider your tone and your words. God knows that we will have disagreements with people such as our husband, fiancé, friends, family, children, and even co-workers and sisters in Christ. And He knows that we will be upset with the way He allows some things to work in our lives.

However, God doesn’t like the grumblings, backbiting, fighting, and bickering. At some point, there needs to be some type of resolve, humility, and a Christ-like manner in how to deal or react to life’s circumstances and people. Paul warns us through 1 Corinthians 10:10-11 saying, “And don’t grumble as some of them did (i.e. the Israelites), and then were destroyed by the angel of death. These things happened to them as examples for us. They were written down to warn us who live at the end of the age.” (NLT) WOW!

WE are living at the end of the age! Remember, Jesus is coming back soon! Pay attention to the signs and God’s Word, sis.

Listen. I can guarantee that we won’t be complaining, hollering and screaming, and fighting in heaven. That’s why we have a dress rehearsal right down here on earth to get it right…NOW. The truth is that God doesn’t like us complaining. It’s noise to His ears. And depending on the scenario, it shows that we don’t trust Him in our circumstances. Remember, when the Israelites kept complaining about their situation, Moses had to boldly tell them, “…your complaints are against God, not us.” (Exodus 16:8 - NLT) Whoa!!! Watch your complaints, sis.

Let me ask you a few questions before I close this post. Have you ever been around a person who was a grumbler or someone who complained most of the time? How did it feel listening to him or her? Was it noise to your ears? Did you want to roll yours eyes when he or she wasn’t looking? Was it aggravating?

Now, let me ask you this last question. Are you that person? In either case, the Bible tells us, “Do not be misled, bad company corrupts good character.” (1 Corinthians 15:33 - NIV) You want to be good company for others my sister, and you want to be around good company. No one likes to be around someone who complains and gripes just for sport and conversation. That’s NOT good!

Personally, I have been around people who complain a lot and it’s tough to endure. I have even had to correct a few of them to let them know that it’s not good. Proverbs 27:5 says, “An open rebuke is better than hidden love!” (NLT). Also, if you love someone, you will tell them the truth, in love. Granted, some have listened and some have not. And I’ve prayed for them. But for me, whenever I hear myself beginning to complain, I try to catch myself or the Holy Spirit quickens me to stop. Freedom is a choice for all of us.

Again, the Holy Spirit is our guide. And when we yield to His direction and correction, that’s when we please the Father and experience true deliverance and freedom. So don’t ignore your supernatural Helper…your STOPPER (i.e. the Holy Spirit). He will be right there to help you conquer complaining. I pray that you’ll make the right choice to yield TODAY. If you do, your life will be changed for the better and others will take notice around you! #conquercomplaining

Remember, Jesus is coming back soon. And those who endure unto the end, shall be saved. Let’s be ready from the Inside Out.
