There is nothing like being free! Think about it for a moment. Reflect back to a moment in your life when you felt totally free. What did it feel like? If you’re there now, what does it feel like? I highly encourage you to write it down in your journal, so you’ll remember this feeling. Because in this life, we have to learn how to walk in freedom freely.
If you are a Christian, then you know the feeling of being set free in Christ. It was that moment when you decided to choose freedom. To let go of the baggage and hurt of your past life, and to start over with a new life in Christ. The Bible confirms tells us what this actually means in 2 Corinthians 5:17, “This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! (NLT) We are to live and walk in this newness of life, and enjoy our new Christian lives.
If you have not accepted Jesus Christ into your life, today would be a GREAT day to do it! If you feel in your heart that you want this type of newfound freedom, then I invite you to accept Him today. Release the weights in your life, and surrender to Christ. Just say a simple prayer from your heart. If you need help with this prayer, you can visit my website @ www.insideoutwithcourtnaye.com and click onto the salvation link, and it will help you. I pray that you will. And if you do, email me to let me know, so that I can rejoice with you! It’s insideoutwithcourtnaye@gmail.com.
Again, there’s nothing like being free! There’s nothing like…
- Freedom in Christ
- Freedom from a bad relationship
- Freedom from addiction
- Freedom from any form of bondage
- Freedom from a bad neighborhood or bad job
Are you rejoicing yet? You and I have to learn how to walk in the freedom that God gives and bask in it, rejoice in it, sing because of it, smile and laugh over it, dance in it, and just embrace it. Freedom comes from God. He doesn’t want us to be bound in anything, including sin.
Hebrews 12:1 tells us, “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off the weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race that God has set before us.” Strip it off! The weight of sin will only slow you down. You’ve got to keep running the race effectively, and efficiently.
So if there is anything that is happening in your inner life, meaning in your heart or mind (or even in your actions), bring it to God in prayer, and let Him help you release the weight or weights. He tells us in 1 John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Confession brings freedom. Forgiveness brings freedom. So release and get free, my sister.
Remember, we’re talking about learning to walk in freedom. And with the weight of sin, freedom can’t be released. Choose to release it today. You’ll feel so much light and better when you do.
One more thing, before I close this post. There is nothing like walking in freedom as it relates to your purpose! Sis, when God calls you, He will fully equip you. Believe that! And when it’s time, there is nothing like walking in the freedom to do what He has called you to! Learn to walk in freedom in every area of your life. It’s time!
