Did you know that today is National Bring Your Teddy Bear to Work/School Day?

I was completely unaware until I received a special package in the mail last week from Fox Searchlight Pictures.

In honor of this special day and to help promote their new movie, GOODBYE CHRISTOPHER ROBIN, they sent me a limited edition Winnie-the-Pooh teddy bear to bring with me to work or school and take photos with him!

This particular Winnie the Pooh is a replica of the teddy bear that A.A. Milne’s son (the real Christopher Robin) owned, originally named “Edward,” that inspired the classic children’s stories of the magical world of Winnie the Pooh!

GOODBYE CHRISTOPHER ROBIN  gives a rare glimpse into the relationship between beloved children’s author A. A. Milne (Domhnall Gleeson) and his son Christopher Robin, whose toys inspired the magical world of Winnie the Pooh. Along with his mother Daphne (Margot Robbie), and his nanny Olive (Kelly Macdonald), Christopher Robin and his family are swept up in the international success of the books; the enchanting tales bringing hope and comfort to England after the First World War. –Fox Searchlight Pictures

Since I am a stay-home-momma, I wasn’t able to technically take my teddy bear to work, but my son and I were able to take him with us to a Bible study that we attend. And today just also happens to be my son’s birthday, so he was absolutely thrilled to be able to bring his new teddy bear with him to class and show his teachers and all of his little friends!

Here are some fun pictures I was able to snap of him and Edward aka Winnie the Pooh before I headed off to my class:

So I hope if you didn’t know about this special day, you take advantage of it next year!

Also, if you are like me and my family who are huge Winnie the Pooh fans, be sure to check out the trailer of GOODBYE CHRISTOPHER ROBIN below! I was blessed to be able to view an online screening on the film, and I am looking forward to sharing my thoughts with my readers. It was definitely interesting to see how this timeless children’s tale that has touch so many people for generations came to be! Stay tuned for a review soon.

GOODBYE CHRISTOPHER ROBIN opens THIS FRIDAY, OCTOBER 13TH, in select theaters!
