I love the Church. I love it because, like most Christians, I believe the Church is not a building we drive to once or twice a week, but rather the people who fill that building. However, entering and exiting the building doesn't determine when we put on or take off our identity as "the Church." As one who has entrusted their life in the risen Jesus Christ, you and I are the Church at all times, in all places.
This week I'll be writing seven letters to seven different groups of people in the Christian Church. They will be biblically based, with Scripture linked to show where I am pulling my insights from.
The series is affectionately titled, Dear Church.
I am exploring and discovering my faith just as much as the next person. Writing these letters has been a pivotal point in my journey as a follower of Christ. Writing these letters has reignited my passion to BE the Church, teach the Church and encourage the Church to be and do what we are called to as the body of Christ.
Here are the letters to look for--
Sunday // Intro
Monday // Dear Church Attenders
Tuesday // Dear Pastors
Wednesday // Dear Pastor's Wives
Thursday // Dear Church Employees
Friday // Dear Families of Church Employees
Saturday // Dear Church Volunteers
Sunday // Dear Church Despisers
I hope you enjoy this series and feel free to give your two cents along the way. I'd like to hear your perspectives, especially if you fit into one of the category letters.
See ya Sunday!
