4 ways to unleash life

Today on July 4th across America--people are celebrating their freedom! Here are 4 simple ways to unleash life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness!

  1. Say "no" to good things and "yes" to greatness. When you are unleash life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness--there will be plenty of people, places, and things that distract you from your calling and purpose. Choose to focus on one thing at a time so you can do all things well. Don't try to serve two maters (Matthew 6:24). Be in the moment. Stay present. Put God first. Say "no" to everything that seems good enough so you can leave room for greatness.
  2. Take time for self care. When you are unleash life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness--you must take time for self care. Remember: dreams don't work unless you do. The best decision you can do is invest in your future by taking care of your health. Pay attention to the signs. How is your anxiety? How are you sleeping? Are you breathing okay? Are you isolating yourself because of your circumstances? Maybe it's time to take a nap, go for a walk, or get your butt to the gym (or a counselor).
  3. Detach from fear and choose joy. When you unleash life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness in seasons of difficulty and transition you will find yourself detaching from fear and choosing joy! Obstacles and roadblocks that used to send you packing no longer upset you. Like Paul, you will exclaim ,"But none of these things move me...so that I might finish my course with joy" (Acts 20:24, KJV). Before you can move on to the next way, you must master this lesson!
  4. Discover the secret of contentment. When you unleash life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness you'll discover the secret of contentment. You will know how to choose joy whether you are needy or have plenty. You will learn the secret of being content in any and every season. Like Joy McMillan, you will exclaim, "the chasing of happiness is exhausting. The pursuit of joy is enriching and fulfilling."

Question: How will you unleash life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness today?
