A spirit of thanksgiving isn’t just a once-a-year thing. When we make giving thanks a part of our daily routine, it allows us to change our perspective and our approach to everyday struggles.
A spirit of thanksgiving isn’t just a once-a-year thing. When we make giving thanks a part of our daily routine, it allows us to change our perspective and our approach to everyday struggles.
For example, look at David, who wrote most of the Psalms. Despite all of his struggles, many of them self-inflicted, he still thanked and praised God. Even in his darkest moments, he proclaimed God’s goodness.
Whether we’re treading the deep waters of life or are high on the mountaintop, let us never forget to give thanks to God for all that He has done for us:
“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 15:57 ESV
I have gathered a collection of Psalms that point to a spirit of thanksgiving as we reflect on God’s goodness.
