When believers around the world join together in March of next year to pray and worship our Lord, our unity will be an answer to His prayer and a witness to the world.
Imagine every man, woman, and child around the world who follows Jesus Christ joining together to praise and worship Him at the same moment! This is the vision for Gather25. Because of today’s technology, for the first time in history, this is possible.
Beginning on the evening of February 28th, 2025, and ending on the evening of March 1st, there will be an unprecedented gathering of all believers in Jesus Christ. Christians around the world are beginning to plan for this global gathering now.
Chills enveloped me when I first heard this monumental announcement. What an amazing step toward the answer to one of the last prayers Jesus prayed on earth: “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me…that they may be brought into complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me” (John 17:20-21,23b NIV).

Why Is This Happening?
An event called IF: Gathering began in 2014, led by Jennie Allen. The goal was to empower women to spread the gospel. The idea is that if God is real, then what would happen if we fully yielded to Him?
Since 2014, IF: Gathering has reached over 1 million women in 179 countries. Because of a dream Jennie Allen had in 2022, she began to wonder, “What if Jesus came back in 10 years?” Are we ready? There are 5.5 billion people on earth who don’t know Jesus. If we knew He was coming soon, what would we do to reach them?
After bringing together a team with a similar vision, planning for a gathering of every man, woman, and child who believes in Jesus began. It became a shared vision of many Jesus followers around the world.
The first announcement about Gather25 happened at the IF: Gathering in February 2024. The purpose of Gather25 is to unite and commission all believers to repent and obey the command of our Lord to take the gospel to the whole world.
What Will Happen?
Christian leaders, pastors, and musicians from each continent will take turns directing worship and speaking. Stories of what God is doing around the world will be shared as men, women, and children talk about their experiences. We’ll be challenged, encouraged, convicted, and inspired. Together we will sing and worship God and, unified, we will pray for our world.
Where Will It Take Place?
Gather25 will take place on every continent in homes, churches, arenas, and other venues. People will watch on their phones, tablets, televisions, large screens, and wherever it can be streamed. All for free! People will gather individually, as families, in small groups, gather groups, and in huge crowds. Each session will be broadcast live from each continent beginning with the United States and ending in South America.
Who Will Participate?
All are welcome, but Gather25 is designed for believers in Jesus Christ regardless of age, gender, or denomination. Many global Christian organizations are collaborating and supporting Gather25, including the American Bible Society, Wycliffe Bible Translators, Cru, YouVersion, God Behind Bars, Barna, Alpha, Come and See, Bible Project, Bible Gateway, World Relief, IllumiNations, and many more.
At some point, but at an unannounced time, the persecuted church will also share what God is doing in areas where Christians are suffering for their beliefs. We will come together based on our unified belief in Jesus Christ as “the way and the truth and the life” (John 14:6 NIV).
How Will It Be Done?
This kind of gathering is possible for the first time in history thanks to advanced technology. Because of the ability to stream live and thanks to AI, messages can be streamed around the world in 14+ languages at the same time.
Even while someone is speaking, listeners around the world will hear the message in their heart language. What a thrilling use of AI technology!
How Can I Participate?
First, mark your calendar for February 28-March 1, 2025. You can host a gather group at your home or church, watch at home on your device, or look for a group near your home. All you need is access to a device for live streaming. Go to the Gather25 website and say “I’m in!” Then fill out a form so you can receive updates and more information.
Second, pray for this event! A prayer guide is available here.
Third, spread the word. Share about Gather25 through word of mouth, on social media, and at your church.
Fourth, give. This remarkable opportunity is being offered free to the whole world, but it does cost money to make it happen. Consider donating so that others can participate.
Finally, be ready to join in with an open heart and willing spirit. Who knows what God wants to do in your life?
Don’t miss this historic, world-changing event. What a picture of heaven it will be, as John, one of Jesus’ followers, described: “After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb” (Revelation 7:9 NIV).
Let's pray:
Heavenly Father, Creator, and Ruler of the universe, thank You for giving us life. Thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ, to save us from sin and death. Thank You for Your promise that anyone who believes in Him will live with You forever.
Please forgive us. So many of us have been apathetic and lacked passion in taking the gospel to the world. Help us repent of selfishness and greed. Help us be willing to deny ourselves and take up our cross to follow You. Holy Spirit, please give us the boldness and power to follow Your command to make disciples.
So many in our world don’t know about Jesus. Please, Lord, bring all Your children together to pray and be empowered by You to take the gospel to everyone. We’re asking that a billion people be reached with the truth.
Please use this twenty-five-hour gathering in 2025 to begin a great work of taking Your truth to every person. Your Word tells us, “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached to the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come” (Matthew 24:14 NIV). We long for the return of Jesus when all things will be made right.
Please open the hearts and minds of unbelievers to know that Jesus Christ is Lord. We ask that millions be saved. Please give Your children boldness in sharing the truth. Protect those who live under terrible persecution. May Your angels surround them and allow them to make disciples where they are.
Come soon, Lord Jesus! We pray in Your holy name! Amen.
