How does one dwell in the presence of the Most High God? How do we live in His presence every moment of the day, and every minute of the night as we sleep? Is it possible to live in His presence continuously?
We can trust and know that when we ask to dwell in His presence, it is His deep desire to dwell with us. This is His heart for us. We can believe and trust that He is here and He is near.
The LORD replied, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest." (Exodus 33:13 NIV)

Dear Lord, show us how to live in a place where we are aware of our constant communion with You.
As Your child I humbly come before You. Thank You that I get to rest under the shelter of Your wings, here in the secret place of Your presence. I praise You, and I worship You, Lord.
“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” (Psalm 91:1 NKJV)
I humbly hand over my heart to You, and I say, “Lord, here’s my heart, search me and know me, show me anything in my life that is keeping me from being as close as I can be with You.”
“Search me, God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.” (Psalm 139:23-24 NIV)
As You show me these things in my heart and in my life, Holy Spirit, will You show me what You would like me to do? Will You show me how to let go of these things? Will You show me if there is any unforgiveness or pride in my heart?
“Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.” (Psalm 51:10-12 NIV)
Anything I am hanging on to that belongs to You, anything that I have willingly allowed into my life that is not in alignment with You and Your ways, I lay it down at the foot of the cross. I surrender all to You, Lord Jesus. Thank you for taking these burdens, Lord. Thank you for what You did on the cross to set us free from death. In You I have victory! I praise You, Jesus!
“Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” (Matthew 11:29 NIV)
Lord, forgive me for hanging onto things I should let go. Forgive me for the sins I have committed against You. Lord, I humbly come before you, and I repent of all these things that You are showing me right now. Thank you for revealing these things to me so that I can be aware of these hindrances. Thank You for taking them from me. You say, “I am forgiven.” Thank You, Lord for Your grace and Your mercy and Your goodness.
“Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.” (Acts 3:19 NIV)
“Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.” (Ephesians 4:32 NASB)
Anything that is hindering me, that is keeping me from seeing You clearly – anything that is distorting my vision, anything that could be blinding me, I ask Lord that You will cleanse me, renew and restore my vision. I want to see You, God, and I want to see clearly so that You can show me the most wonderful things. Help me to see You clearly, help me to see myself and others clearly. Give me wisdom and discernment. Eyes that see and ears that hear You. Thank you, Lord.
“Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches.” (Revelation 3:22 NLT)
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.” (Colossians 3:16 ESV)

Lord, will You purify my heart? Send Your fire and do the work that only You can do in my heart to make room for You and for loving others. Holy Spirit, will You refill me? Renew and restore any damage sin has done in my life. Renew my mind. Thank You for the work that You are doing in me.
“I baptize you with water for repentance, but he who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” (Matthew 3:11 ESV)
"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” (Matthew 5:8 NASB)
Lord, as I come before You and dwell in Your presence, will You show me what You want me to see? Will You let me hear what You are speaking over me? Will You teach me how to be trustworthy, that I may grow to be trusted by You? I want to see You, Lord.
“And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.” (Revelation 21:3 ESV)
Will You teach me how to remain in the secret place of Your presence? Will You guide me and remind me, and teach me how to live in this place of Your holy presence? Lord, will You remind me constantly to keep my eyes upon You? Will You give me constant reminders that You are here with me, that You are before and behind me, always surrounding me, always near and always here? Keep me in constant awareness of You.
“For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” (Zephaniah 3:17 NLT)

Thank You for the work You have done in me, Lord! Lead me today and help me to obey!
“O LORD, You have searched me and known me.” (Psalm 139:1 NASB)
Thank You, Father for walking this life with me. You have promised that together, hand in hand we will walk home together into eternity.
“Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land. For I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.” (Genesis 28:15 ESV)
The Lord responds and declares this, as a covenant to those who love Him and put their trust in Him,
“Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will deliver him and honor him.
With long life I will satisfy him,
And show him My salvation.” (Psalm 91:14-16 NKJV)
Thank You, Father. I pray all of these things in the mighty name of Jesus.
Amen.
