Dear God,

Thank you for your great love and blessing over our lives. Thank you that your favor has no end, but it lasts for our entire lifetime. Forgive us for sometimes forgetting that you are intimately acquainted with all of our ways, that you know what concerns us, and you cover us as with a shield. We ask that we would walk in your blessing and goodness today. That your face would shine on us. That you would open the right doors for our lives and for our loved ones, that you would close the wrong doors and protect us from those we need to walk away from. Establish the work of our hands and bring to fulfillment all that you have given us to do in these days. We pray that you would make our way purposeful and our footsteps firm out of your goodness and love. Give us a heart of wisdom to hear your voice, and make us strong by your great favor and grace. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

We Live in the Time of Your Favor

Lord God, heavenly Father, we thank you

that you have granted us to live

in the time of your favor

when we may hear your holy gospel,

know your fatherly love

and behold your Son, Jesus Christ!

Most merciful Father,

let the light of your holy Word remain with us,

and govern and guide our hearts by your Holy Spirit

that we may never forsake your Word,

but remain steadfast in it and obtain eternal salvation;

through your beloved Son, Jesus Christ our Lord,

who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,

one God, now and forever.

Prayer For Blessedness

O God,

you are life, wisdom, truth,

bounty, and blessedness,

the eternal, the only true good,

our God and our Lord,

our hope and our heart’s delight,

we acknowledge with thanksgiving

that you have made us in your image,

and that we may direct our thoughts to you.

Lord, make us to know you,

that we may love, enjoy, and possess you

more and more.

And since, in the life here below,

I cannot fully attain this blessedness,

let it at least grow in me day by day,

until it all is fulfilled in the life to come.

Here let the knowledge of you be increased,

and there let it be perfected.

Here let my love to you grow,

and there let it ripen;

that my joy here be great in hope,

and there be made perfect. Amen.

Almighty and eternal God,

you heal us by chastening

and preserve us by pardoning.

Let us rejoice in the comfort

of the tranquility we desired,

and use the gift of your peace

for the true amendment of our lives;
