TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT

Our lives can get so busy with so many things demand our attention and care. Still,  no matter what is going on in our lives it is so important that we maintain a desire to keep Jesus first. He is the only One who can truly satisfy our souls. No spouse, child, job, ministry position, or schedule can take the place of our Savior being first in our hearts. For this reason, it’s important to do whatever is necessary to make time to spend with God in His Word and prayer each day.

Setting boundaries is a good way not to allow things into our lives that pull us away from Christ. Staying in fellowship with other believers who can keep us accountable in our walk with the Lord is also a good way to keep God first. We must fight to keep Jesus number one in our lives because He is worth it.

PRAY

Lord Jesus, help me to stay within the boundaries set by Your Word. Help me to choose You over the comforts of this world. Help me to keep You as number one in my heart. I need You to be first in my life. In Jesus Christ’s Name, I pray. Amen.

REFLECT

Have you placed anyone or anything before Christ in your life?
