Enough is Enough – Beloved Women – August 29, 2024
READ
“Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.” - 2 Corinthians 12:9 NLT
TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT
If something goes too far, looks too difficult, or takes too long, I've had enough.
The Apostle Paul had enough too. He took his frustration and discouragement to God repeatedly.
Each time, God gave Paul the same answer, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.”
The last time I checked, when I have all I need, that's enough. But if I feel God's grace is not enough, my wants begin to wrestle with God's will.
His grace gives us access to His wisdom when something has gone too far. It gives us His power to overcome what looks too hard and it provides strength to wait for His good and perfect gifts.
We all encounter experiences we are hoping to avoid. Repeatedly. Each time, God offers us His grace too. According to Paul, not only is it enough, it creates a window out of our weakness, “so that the power of Christ can work” through us.
PRAY
Dear God, whatever tries to pry my fingers off my faith; you won’t let me go. Your grace is enough. Use my weakness as a window to show your strength through me. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.
REFLECT
How does God’s grace comfort you in your weakness or your lack?
