Don’t Go Uncovered – Beloved Women – December 18, 2019
READ
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16 ESV)
TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT
After almost 25 years, I have decided to go back to school. As I was preparing to register for classes and opened my laptop, I heard something snap. When I looked on the side of the computer, it had popped open and I could see the inside of the computer. The bracket connecting it wasn’t working, which caused it to pop open. I took my computer back to where I bought it, only to learn the warranty had expired.
Warranties protect our valuables from damage, accidents, and more. Unfortunately, their protection is limited to a period of time, like the warranty I had on my computer. Like a warranty protects our physical items, Jesus protects our soul. His coverage however, is eternal for those that place their faith in Him.
As daughters of God and joint-heirs with Christ, we have access to the greatest protection of all; the salvation of our souls. Sometimes we may think that we have to “get it right” or that we must be “perfect” before coming to Jesus, which none of us are. Jesus died so that we might be set free. Even when I don’t get it just right, because of his grace and mercy, we are always covered.
PRAY
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for sending your Son to die for me that I might have life and that I might have it more abundantly. I pray that I will continue to walk out the finished work on the Cross to cover my soul for eternity. . In Jesus Name, I pray,. Amen.
REFLECT
Where are you in your walk with Christ? How can you be an example to those who don’t believe?
