Believing in the Lavish Love of God - Beloved Women - December 24, 2024
READ
“For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39 ESV)
TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT
Sometimes life has a way of blindsiding us with difficulties: a broken relationship, a hardship or a debilitating setback. In those moments, it is tempting to believe God’s love is far from us or simply non-existent. When we feel this way, we must remind ourselves just how much God loves us.
We may question how a loving God could allow hardship in our lives, but God’s ways are not like ours. We may see a job loss as unfair, when it is really God’s loving protection. We might think the end of a relationship is a burden, when it might be God closing a door so He can bring someone new into our lives.
In difficult times, we must choose to believe that we are lavishly loved by God, no matter what we are facing in this life. His love for us never ceases. His unmatched love existed before we were born, and it will persist even in death. Be encouraged and know that God’s love for you is everlasting.
PRAY
Dear God, Thank You for Your overwhelming love for me. Please help me to trust and believe that You love me deeply, especially in difficult seasons. In Jesus Christ’s name, I pray, Amen.
